Celebrating Brynn's Birthday

At midnight exactly on Brynn's birthday, we gave her some flowers, balloons and a card to ring in turning 18 years old.    She asked to do just a little celebration at auntie Tessa and uncle Chad's lake with macarons and a charcuterie spread...and games! We also picked up a fruit arrangement from Thai Orchid in West Fargo and they did an absolutely beautiful job with it - it was really delicious as well. We played Mind the Gap and then most of the kids went in the hot tub and the three of us headed back home while Brynn spent the night. The Weckerlys were so sad to have mistakenly left their gift for Brynn at home, so when Grandpa and Grandma Dietz dropped it off on their way through Fargo this week, we Facetimed with auntie and Elise so they could watch her open it. Brynn is 18!

Happy birthday to Brynn who turns 18 today! 💜 Brynn and I went out to a nearby neighborhood and found some frosty trees for a little birthday photo shoot. I love how they turned out, but first a look back at all her birthdays. Oh, how we love our now grown up baby girl who started life early and very small. We could not be more proud of her and are bittersweetly excited for her future and all that lies ahead of her.  Happy birthday!

Contestants were allowed 20 minutes to shop for their houses at Wal-mart. We left ourselves little time to get ready for the 3:00 Christmas eve service at our church. But, we made it and thankfully didn't have to sit in the overflow area in the chapel! It was a beautiful service. We had bit more time in between church and when we planned to leave for Tessa's, so I mixed up my eggnog and we got the car packed. Tessa's family hosted Christmas eve at their lake home. We had a great mix of people to play a game of Mind the Gap. Getting cookies ready for Santa. Clara got Dana and me up around 7:30 and we watched her open her stocking. I think Dana a...
