Swimming + Summer

 Brynn's friend boards her horse at a stable and Brynn tagged along out there one day. Brynn with Cheeto. :-) Making good use of Clara's pool. We've had some hot days lately. Brynn has been taking some private tennis lessons through this summer. We were able to take in a Redhawks game on a most beautiful night. My dad and Dana's parents were able to join us as well. Clar a discussi ng apple trees with our neighbor, Gayle. I was a guest judge for the cooking competition at the Northern Crops Institute's Ag Academy  where they host high school students interested in food or animal science careers for a week long education experience. One of the tracks focuses on food development in which the students are tasked with creating a recipe and making the finished product. Through my work we provided our Chickpea Flour and Milled Flax for the food challenge. The students were required to use both ingredients in their final creations. The three teams...

Cousin Camp 2025: 10th Anniversary

Cousin Camp 2025: 10th Anniversary was a success with a huge thanks, as usual, to our fearless leader and head camp counselor, Auntie Tessa.  We commissioned Brynn for an emergency shower cap run for one of the games.  Brianna was able to join us again this year, so we loaded up Thursday night and headed to camp. Elise and Brynn did a great job with this year's sign, incorporating themes from the past years. To kick things off, we each shared our name, age and fav themes and/or games/challenges from prior camp years. Teams were challenged with chronologically sorting previous years' shirts. As part of this year's theme, Tessa brought back some of the campers' favorite games and challenges. This one was the frozen t-shirt challenge. First team to thaw their t-shirt from a block of ice and get it onto their designated teammate wins. Cooking Challenge Next up was the most popular game amongst the campers: slip-n-slide kickball.
