September

When Brynn was in 8th grade, their class wrote letters to themselves that they would open once they were seniors. School staff must have sent them right to the high school for safe keeping because a few weeks ago, Brynn got hers back and read through it.    I had perfect weather for visiting a grower with my drone for work last month. Clara spent a night at Grandpa and Grandma Dietz's and did all sorts of activities. Family walk! Brynn ran into this bunch shopping at the mall. 😄 I was so tickled to get this pic from auntie - as much as Brynn was to bump into them. This nomad cat has been showing up around our cul-de-sac, but he does not like me, unfortunately. :-( His tag even says that he's not lost, he just likes to roam. Ha. (I only know that because he actually let our neighbor catch him.) Clara and I have been going to some Davies football games while it's been so nice out. Brynn has been accepted at both NDSU and UND. Homecoming 2025

Last week was Homecoming for Brynn's school. Brynn dressed up for a couple of the them days. I think this one was for her class color day. Senior vans - their artwork was very impressive! The high school marching band was playing (in the rain!) at Clara's school when I dropped her off on Friday morning. They sounded so good.  Clara and I attended the football game which they won against Bismarck. The gigantic homecoming court! Beautiful Brynn! She went to the dance with a few friends. Thankfully the rain held off that day long enough for me to get a couple of pictures.

School + Labor Day Weekend + Stuff

Brynn's HS did a senior sunrise at 6:00 AM a few days after school started. I think there was only one guy there, so mostly girls....taking pictures and what not. They took a group shot of all the girls who were there. Brynn is fifth in from the right on the bottom/front row, kneeling. Clara and I walked over for the first HS home game last Friday night. Clara procured us some snacks and scored some free popcorn in the process. We celebrated Mom's birthday over labor day weekend with our usual fish fry. It was a team effort in lighting the candles. Happy birthday, Mom! The after party crew playing Nertz. It was very foggy last Sunday morning. I went out into it for a walk and could just feel the moisture on me. Brynn seemed pretty set on attending UND after she graduates this next spring, but asked to visit NDSU to check out another option. Her friend Manasseh is currently attending there as a biochem major. He was just finishing up his classes for the day when we were arriving...
