Prom, S'mores + Stars

Clara and her friend Cora were serving snacks from their 'cafe' to Hubert and Brynn after school one day. (Hopefully the fridge door wasn't open for too long. 😑) I think the cafe was something about four c's: Cora and Clara's Cafe...obviously I'm missing one of the Cs somewhere. Brynn made another dish at Clay Your Way...and then assembled a cute and delicious-looking snack plate on it. When we went to Hurdsfield for Oliver's birthday we were able to watch Reagan get ready for her prom and even attended the grand march. She looked so beautiful! Girl cousins! We adults placed a wager on how many bobby pins Chad removed from Reagan's up-do. I won with a guess of 55 or something like that. There were 45, I believe. The girls didn't have school this past Monday, so Cora came for a sleepover on Sunday night. S'mores supplies were on sale at the grocery store so I stocked up. Cora and Clara did some stargazing (actually I think they were trying to fin

April Birthdays

Brynn attended a surprise birthday party for one of her friend's sweet sixteen. Tessa turned 40! I dug up a few nostalgic photos of the two of us to reminisce.  Happy 40th, sister! Welcome to the club. She and Chad hosted their friends for a fun night of bunco at their house and were able to come and celebrate as well. She had ordered these adorable cupcake toppers. We tried out a new barbeque place (Jay's Smokin' BBQ) that we hadn't been to before on his actual birthday. I think it's now one of our fam favorites.  He opened up his gifts at home. Our friends Roger and Aaron were in town for work, so they were able to stop by and hang out which was fun for Dana to be able to see them on his birthday. We celebrated Oliver's 8th bir

Spring

I feel like I have a lot of catching up to do on the blog here.  I'll start with the Chris Stapleton concert we went to in Grand Forks with Tessa, Chad, Cody (Chad's brother) and Tia. Tessa had made a dinner reservation for us at the Blue Moose. It was really good. I do like Chris Stapleton's music so I enjoyed the concert. He sounded great. I will cover all the April birthday festivities in a separate post, but Clara went to stay at Duck Lake with Grandpa and Grandma Dietz while Dana and I went to Tessa's birthday Bunco party. Of course she stayed pretty busy between card games, the library and sewing. Doing homework...  I love that Brynn still enjoys drawing and doing art. It's Pascal from the Disney Tangled movie. Clara tagged along to Dead Lake with Dana to get our jet skiis into the water. It was a beautiful weekend for weather and now this week we've barely made it through this wind and colder temps. Our first deck date of the season. No bugs yet! While Da
