Merry Christmas

Santa came to visit at Grandpa and Grandma Dietz's house! And he brought presents. Brynn opening the cradle Grandpa Kim made for her. Santa visited again overnight and left goodies in the stockings. Yay, MagnaDoodle! Playing with new Play-Doh accessories.

Great-Great Grandma

Today was our first Christmas celebration for 2009, which was with Dana's mom's side. Brynn's Great-Great Grandma Peterson was there, too, and Brynn got to spend some time with her. Great-Great Grandma is 98 years Brynn's senior. She is such a neat lady that she definitely deserves to have two "greats" in her Gradma title. Merry Christmas, Great-Great Grandma P! Also, on a side note, I thought you might like to receive a notification of sorts via e-mail whenever I have updated the blog. My sister does this for her blog, which I think is really nice. If you would like to be on a list to receive e-mail notifications, please e-mail me at tarafroemming@mail.com or leave a comment on the blog with your e-mail address. There will be more updates to come as the Christmas celebrations roll on! Hugs for Grandma.

It got too quiet again...

...and last time that happened we had the "toilet paper incident." I was Swiffering in the kitchen after supper and noticed it was quiet and she wasn't around. This is what I found upon entering the bathroom: Every morning Brynn watches me put on my make-up and likes to hand the mascara and eye pencil and all that to me. This morning she was watching me and said, "watch Mommy." She must have been paying really good attention all this time. One other day she decided to put make-up on her baby doll and repeatedly stabbed her doll in the eye with an eye pencil. You just can't get angry at them for this stuff! Too funny.

Visiting Mr. & Mrs. Claus

We took Brynn to visit Santa at Rheault Farm today. She was a little shy and frightened of him, but was happy when he offered her a sucker. She did have fun decorating a cookie with Mrs. Claus.

Happy Thanksgiving

We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving! Brynn's second Thanksgiving was a great one. Here are some highlights. We put up our Christmas tree this weekend, too. Checking out the deals with Grandpa Kevin. Eating some munchies while wearing her turkey hat, sitting next to the turkey she and Grandma Holly made together. Brynn appears afraid of the turkey who outweighs her by a pound.

Bubbles!

Playing house

Brynn in her house. She got this as a gift for her first birthday and we finally put it up for her now. She had a lot of fun in there today. At one point the whole fam was in there. Tight squeeze! This is what she does when she says "cheese" for the camera. I think she is doing air photography and taking a picture of me. :-)

Our little fish

This week Brynn started parent/child swimming lessons at the YMCA. She is one of the older children, as the class ranges from 14 months to 2 1/2 years. This is her in the locker room before the lesson started. I don't know if I'll get any shots of her in the water, since I'll be in there with her the whole time. She seemed to like the first day, so it will be fun to see what other activities we do. I guess next time we submerge! She was running around the locker room like a crazy child, shutting everyone else's locker doors for them. The class is only for 25 minutes; we spend more time getting dressed and undressed than we do for the lesson!

Halloween

Brynn had a great time trick-or-treating. It all started on Thursday with her party at daycare where they made monster cookies. On Friday Brynn came to my work with my co-workers' kids where she got a "puppin" (pumpkin) balloon and a pack of markers. Tonight we started out at a few houses in our neighborhood, then went to Moorhead to trick-or-treat with friend, Karlie. Brynn at Mama's work. First stop of the night.
