Day at home with Mom

Brynn's daycare was closed today for MLK Jr day, so I took the day off to stay home with her. I had also scheduled her three-year check-up for today. She is still only 25 lbs (6th percentile), but in the 20th percentile for height. It was a good check-up and her doctor thought she was doing well. After her appointment we stopped by my work and as we were pulling up in the parking lot Brynn asked whose work this was and I told her mine. Then she said, "when I get big, I'll get a work." Ha. Hopefully! Then we came home and had a photo shoot with her new Princesses she got for Christmas. We had a fun day at home together.

Brynn's First Purchase

This morning when Brynn woke up she told me wanted to go "buy some babies." I wasn't quite sure what that meant, so I asked her if she wanted to buy some things for her babies with her own money. She thought that sounded good, so she went and got some money from her piggy bank. We decided to go shopping at Fleet Farm to see what she could find. The first picture is right before we headed out. (She dressed herself today). Her money is in her pink, sparkly little purse she's holding. The second picture is what she decided to buy. We went up to the check-out with her purchase and she gave the clerk her money. Then she kept asking me over and over, "where's my money?" Ha. A hard lesson learned, I guess! I think she's happy with her purchase, though.

Happy Birthday again, Brynn!

Brynn had her 'friends' party today and had such a great time with all the kids. Patiently waiting for cake and ice cream. Modeling her new jewelry. Brynn washing up after the party.

Happy 3rd Birthday, Brynn!

Brynn had a great third birthday! We had our family party this past Saturday; the theme was Toy Story. Brynn had a great time celebrating with family and she really enjoyed her cake which she helped me bake. It's hard to believe she's three already! Brynn and I baking her birthday cake. Brynn got matching PJs to Reagan's. They were both very excited. We told Brynn she could choose what we had for supper: if she wanted to go out to eat or eat at home. At first she said she wanted tator hot hotdish, but then somehow we ended up at Ruby Tuesday. We tried to get her to go to Applebee's, but she wanted Ruby Tuesday instead. Brynn took favor bags and Toy Story cookies we made to daycare today.

Happy New Year

For New Year's we were at my parents' celebrating Christmas with them. We left earlier than planned so we would be sure to make it there before the storm. Brynn got some finger paints from Santa and used the entire pot of red in one sitting. She also got many other nice gifts from family. Brynn is already looking forward to her birthday party this weekend!
