Summer Sun

Hayes Lake State Park

This past weekend we went on our annual camping trip with our good friends, Tina and Ryan. This year we camped up by Roseau at Hayes Lake State Park in Minnesota. Brynn had a great time helping cook, riding around on her (literal) stick horse, playing with Tina and Ryan's dogs and catching a frog. Making breakfast. Making pizza! Picking flowers with Tina. "For you, Mom!" "Walking" the dogs. Giving hugs to Kodi.

Go RedHawks!

Last night we went to a RedHawks game; Brynn's first baseball game ever. Unfortunately the bat broke, split in half, in the first inning, and that is all Brynn could talk about for the rest of the game. I think she thought that was a frequent occurrence in baseball games. We went with friends and their kids. The game got to be really long, but it seemed Brynn had a good time. She said she liked "the ball and the bat...and the game, too." But, she says she doesn't want to go to another one. She got into cheering, though, and seemed interested in how the game is played. She wanted to be on the team and play, too. I had my camera with and was excited to take a bunch of pics of Brynn's first baseball game, especially since it was such a beautiful night. I realized that although I did have my camera, I had forgotten the memory card. Argh! I was so bummed. So, this pic was taken by our friends with Dana's phone.
