BUMPdate

As mentioned in my last blog post, here is a pregnancy update.  I am still not feeling well, unfortunately. I am 13 weeks now, so I am hopeful to start feeling better soon. Since it's been more than six years ago since I was pregnant with Brynn, it's hard to remember some of the details, but I do like comparing the two pregnancies. I did keep a pregnancy journal the first time, so it's been kind of nice to go and look back at that and see what I was feeling like at certain times throughout the pregnancy.  I thought with this baby I had popped out and starting showing so much sooner than before, but when looking at these two pictures taken at around the same time in each pregnancy, it's quite similar. But I do remember thinking I started showing early with Brynn, too. I have heard that a lot of times women retain a lot of water or look puffier with their first pregnancy, and even already I have felt like that's true for me. And I really thought so when I com

Catching Up

I have really been slacking on blog updates lately. I usually feel the worst in the evenings, so I don't do much during that time (separate pregnancy update to come). It feels so nice once the weekend finally rolls around to get some things done. What a winter we've had so far! This was from more than a week ago when school was cancelled for Brynn. She came to help me at work. She stayed very busy! She made it the whole afternoon there with me. Painting at home last weekend. I love this one. This is Sleeping Beauty and the spinning wheel. The green blob is Maleficent which is what she looks like before she forms into herself.  Last weekend Brynn wrote a book. I just love it! Here are a couple of pages from it. She didn't ask me how to spell any of the words and told me she sounded them all out herself. I was surprised that she had a 'doe,' but then realized when she read it to me, it's her dog, Spot. :-) She gets her g's turned around.

Big Announcement!

I think most who follow our blog already know our exciting news, but here it is, straight from Brynn which was also how we told her the news (which is probably pretty obvious from her reaction in the video): I was making supper one night and she asked me how to spell "for" and "new." Turned out she was working on this little gem here. I like how she asked me on the simple words, but decided to go for it on her own with 'excited.' :-) We are very excited and I still can hardly believe that God gave us Brynn in the first place, much less another baby now, too. I had a doctor appointment today and heard the heartbeat which is always a nice reassurance. Everything is looking good.

Birthday Celebrations!

Out for her MichaelDonald's meal on her birthday. Friend Party On Friday night Brynn celebrated with her friends at our house. She said the theme was a "magic makeover" party, which was the same as last year. I wasn't really sure what she had planned, but they mostly just played after eating supper and opening gifts. She wanted to dress in her new Brave gown for the party. Our sad cupcakes. Ha. They tasted good though. Blowing out the candle in her ice cream:   http://youtu.be/4RvxqHBEzFs She LOVES doing people's hair and her friends were nice enough to let Brynn do theirs. This must have been part of the magical makeover. :-) Family Party On Saturday we had family over for another birthday celebration. For the past five years I've making making Brynn's cakes....and she actually doesn't even like cake. (Hence the ice cream on Friday night when everyone else was eating cupcakes). So, finally we had enough sense to d

Happy 6th Birthday, Brynn!

Happy 6th Birthday to Brynnie Marie! She is very excited for her birthday today. She chose to go to McDonald's for her birthday supper. Tomorrow night she is celebrating with her friends at our house and Saturday is her family party. This morning we sang her 'happy birthday' and I asked her if she felt older today. She said yes, she did. After she went to the bathroom and came back out to eat her cereal, she told me in a disappointed tone, "I looked in the mirror, and I didn't look 6." He he. I told her that yesterday she was 5 and today she is 6 and that she will be 6 for a whole year and will look a little older each day. It is always fun for me to look back to when she was a tiny munchkin and see how much she has changed.

Christmas: Part Three!

This past weekend we celebrated Christmas with Dana's family in Fergus Falls. We had a good weekend spending time together, opening our gifts and eating lots of good food! I (thought) I had forgotten my camera, so Holly lent me hers to take some pics, but lo and behold Dana had brought it along for me, and I hadn't realized. Duh! The Beast doll from Daddy and me. Brynn really got into her Play-Doh creations all weekend, using the Play-Doh sets she received from Christel and John. Surprise! Grandpa and Grandma Froemming surprised us with the news that they bought a lake home. Very exciting.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year! This post is quite unrelated to New Year's, as we didn't really do anything to celebrate. It was nice to have a day off of work in the middle of the week. Brynn and I hung out and I got some things done around the house. We made it out to Wal-mart to get some more supplies for her upcoming birthday party. Dana is under the weather with a cold, so he just rested today. 2013 was such a great year for our family with our Disney trip in February (we are still talking about how much fun we had and are ready to go back again! Though no plans to do so yet), Dana started working at Case New Holland, another great time spent at Swan Lake, my sister and I took our New England trip and more fun times with family and friends. We are excited for 2014! This past Sunday we celebrated Christmas with Dana's dad's side of the family at Grandma Froemming's place. We had a great time visiting with the cousins and catching up with the rest of the family.(Grandma
