Dead Lake Vacation 2017

Again I find myself way behind on my blog updates, but here's a start! We attempted this year's annual Dead Lake family vacation beginning last Wednesday (21st). Brynn really wanted to stay in Fargo to go to her swim lesson that day, so Clara and Daddy headed out ahead of us and we came after lessons. We knew the weather wasn't supposed to be great, so on Thursday we packed in all the fun! Ha. Friday we were already headed back to Fargo. Although we weren't there for as long as we have been in the past, the time we spent there was fun and we're again thankful to Dana's parents for letting us stay there. First up on Thursday was the strawberry patch, of course!  After we got back we did some fishing and Brynn out-fished everyone which has seemed the norm for her this summer. She baits her own hook and takes off her own fish...barehanded! I was pretty impressed. We weren't fishing long before we got hot and hu...

Father's Day

Dana started out Father's Day weekend with Donuts for Dads at Clara's school.  We were able to celebrate Father's Day with Dana's dad while his parents were in town for a bit on Saturday. My dad was rolling through Fargo on Sunday so we were able to celebrate with him too! Brynn's beautiful emoji-inspired Father's Day sidewalk artwork. After supper on Sunday we opened Dana's gifts with him. Happy Father's Day. I couldn't ask for a better daddy to our girls and I know my own dad set the bar pretty high. Dana's dad has always treated me like one of his own from the get-go. I love them all so much for all these reasons and more. ðŸ’œ

Everything

Wow, do I feel behind on blogging! So much has been happening over the past couple of weeks. Here is my attempt at getting up to speed on everything. Some fun pics of Clara at daycare: Speaking of daycare, Clara fell down there at the end of the day last week. She must have fallen on her arm just right (or wrong?) because she dislocated her elbow. :( She has dislocated her shoulder before, so it just reminded us how easily this seems to happen for her. The children's walk-in clinic wanted to do x-rays, just in case of a break, but their machine was down at that office, so we had to run over to a different clinic and then back again. Clara isn't typically a fan of going to the doctor in general, so I figured she would freak out when she had to do the x-rays, but of course the x-ray techs were awesome and Clara did great. Thankfully no break and the children's walk-in clinic doctor was able to pop it right back into place and it was as if it had never happene...
