Froemmings

We didn't have much planned for this weekend (which is always how I like it!), but we did end up finding some fun things to do. Rheault Farm was having a spring event on Saturday, so we decided to check it out. We didn't get there until within the last hour of it, so I think some of the activities had already started to wind down. Brynn added to this mural they had going when we first got there. Then we checked out the beetles, bugs and spiders this guy had. The ones in the jars were alive. EWW! Next they planted some bean seeds in these little dirt cups. We thought they could transplant them into the garden once they got going. However, then I set the cups down by the face painting station to take pictures and then by the end had forgotten all about them and ended up leaving them there. Oopsies. This guy was telling Clara her plant might grow as tall as the one from Jack and the Beanstalk. We finished off with face panting... Clar...

Dana had Good Friday off of work and I decided to take a day of PTO as well. For the first time ever, we dyed eggs at home. We started off outside, but the wind was a little chilly so we moved indoors. That afternoon we headed out to Tessa's for the Easter weekend. We stopped in Carrington to have supper with Grandpa and Grandma...and check out the baby chicks at Runnings. ...and gang up on Grandpa with foam swords. Not long after we arrived at Weckerlys' place, we were out by the fire for some Peeps s'mores. The moon was so interesting that night; it quickly was rising and in an oval-looking shape. My camera didn't capture very good pics of it. Due to nasty weather back in March, we weren't able to celebrate Ben's birthday with him, so we finally brought him his present, part of which was this Break the Ice game. I remember playing it when I was a kid! Saturday morning, Wanda (Uncle Chad's mom)...
