Day at home with Mom

Brynn's daycare was closed today for MLK Jr day, so I took the day off to stay home with her. I had also scheduled her three-year check-up for today. She is still only 25 lbs (6th percentile), but in the 20th percentile for height. It was a good check-up and her doctor thought she was doing well.

After her appointment we stopped by my work and as we were pulling up in the parking lot Brynn asked whose work this was and I told her mine. Then she said, "when I get big, I'll get a work." Ha. Hopefully!

Then we came home and had a photo shoot with her new Princesses she got for Christmas. We had a fun day at home together.

Haha @ your "hopefully" comment. Cute photo shoot :) I'm glad she likes her princesses. Reagan is wearing her Tinkerbelle nightgown tonight and she asked me when she put it on if she and Brynn could have a sleepover and wear their matching jammies and quote, "be twins."

That is so sweet. Actually Brynn did wear her Tinkerbelle nightgown last night too! She had waited all week for it to get through the laundry cycle. :-)

Aw! Reagan has taken to wearing hers multiple nights in a row now. It's so much more "big girl" to wear a nightgown than regular jammies, you know.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.) They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family. We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan! Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year.
