Trip to the mall

Brynn has been waiting almost a month already to go to the mall and see the Easter Bunny. Then yesterday she told me she wanted to go eat supper at the mall. She likes to eat there because she always orders pasta at the food court.  She got an Oreo cookie with her meal and she opened it up and said, "they give me white butter." Or what some might refer to as creme. LOL. Then we finally made our way over to the Easter Bunny. After much anticipation, she got cold feet once the time came to sit on his lap by herself. So, we took a family portrait!  Happy Easter! Her new sunglasses she picked out at the mall.

We Did It!

This weekend we headed to Hurdsfield for the big cousin weekend we had been waiting so patiently for. On Friday Brynn said, "today's the day. We did it!" Yes, somehow we made it to the end of our long wait! We celebrated Auntie Tessa's birthday and had a little slumber party. Brynn bunked up with Reagan and I with Elise. My cousin's daughter, Brianna, was also there and all the girls had a great time playing together.

The Waiting Chain

First park day of the season! Brynn had fun splashing around in all the water puddles in the park today. When I was kid, whenever there was something coming up to look forward to (such as a holiday), we would make a paper chain to count down the days. Brynn and I have been planning a trip back home for Auntie Tessa's birthday which is this weekend. Brynn tells me every day how we're going to Reagan's house and how excited she is and how excited Reagan is. So, I decided we'd better make a "waiting chain" to count down the days. At first Brynn didn't really seem to grasp the concept, but now that she has been cutting the links herself, she has a better understanding of how it works. Only two more days left! Eee! Dimples! Love them.

A Sleepover, The Circus & "Brynnn" by Brynn

This weekend was a busy one for Brynn. Friday night we spent 45 minutes in the movie store picking out a couple of movies while Mommy exercised as much patience as she could muster during the flick pick process. :-) Saturday, Brynn's friend Avva came over for a play-date and sleepover. They had such a fun time playing together and making cupcakes. We only ran into a little snag once bedtime got underway and Avva began to feel a little homesick. So, we did take her back home, but it was still a successful first sleepover as far as Brynn was concerned. Then today Grandpa & Grandma Froemming took us all to the circus. We saw elephants, tigers and trapeze artists. Brynn seemed to really enjoy it. We were all really amazed at how the high wire performers didn't use any nets or harnesses, except one twelve-year-old girl who balanced atop a very high pole. Brynn told Grandma her favorite part was the elephants. Brynn and I also wrote a short book today. The bottom picture is an e...

Brynn's New Room

We finally decided to switch Brynn's room and our spare bedroom so Brynn could have a larger space. Daddy painted it for her and let her choose the color. Of course, yellow! It's so much nicer to be able to spread out and play in there. She seems to really like it. Now, we'll just have to think of some decorating ideas for the walls. Playing Chutes & Ladders with Daddy.
