I grew up on Mercer Mayer's "Little Critter" books, and Brynn really seems to have taken a liking to them as well. One of the titles we have is "Bye-Bye, Mom and Dad" where the parents go away on a trip and leave Little Critter and Little Sister to stay with Grandpa and Grandma. In the middle of the story, Little Critter takes it upon himself to make lunch for everyone. Brynn thought it was pretty funny, and asked me if she could make a sandwich like Little Critter made in the book. As you will see below, it isn't necessarily your run-of-the-mill PB&J. So, I told her if she ate a "normal" lunch she could make one of these sandwiches afterward.
So, here are the step-by-step instructions on how to make Little Critter's signature sandwich. And a video tutorial, too.

Oops! There she goes. |
Here is the video if you have an extra six minutes. :-) Sorry; it's a little long even after I cut some out. Oh, and just ignore my constant camera clicking. Mamarazzi at it again.

And we did go out for another bike ride last night, and this time I brought the little camera. It was baby's first time in the bike carrier. |

Ralstie, Brynn's trusty steed who is boarded at Cash Wise Foods. Not sure where she got his name from and I'm also not confident on the spelling, but that's what it sounds like when she says it. |
