Summer Update

It's hard to believe this time next year it will be Brynn getting ready to start Kindergarten. This year, however, we're thinking of cousin Reagan and her big day tomorrow as she has her first day of school!

Preschool has been going well for Brynn. They are doing lots of fun activities and projects. Thursday is the start of school here in Fargo, so today they took a field trip to Lindenwood Park for a special send-off to the children going off to Kindergarten. Here is a picture of Brynn and some of her friends from her class.

The girl on the far left is Rasha. She lives in our neighborhood and sometimes meets up with Brynn at the park.
Lily is on the far right and is someone whom Brynn plays with quite a bit.

Last Thursday Brynn was busy helping Daddy with his snowmobile trailer out in the garage. When I went out there to take some pics, she was so excited and couldn't stop smiling and laughing. It was so cute. She just loves to help us with anything around the house. This was right before Dana tried to cut his thumb off with his angle grinder and I had to take him in to the ER for stitches. :-) Nurse Brynn now doles out his pill to him four times a day.

This past Sunday we had a family reunion with my mom's side at our house.
We had a lot of fun visiting with Grandma, Aunt Judy and our cousins.

Four generations. Brynn was not happy at this point because the cousins had just left.

Great pics! I love the one of her and her buddies. Thanks for thinking of Reagan! Will update tomorrow. Good pic of the whole gang at the reunion, too.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
