Wells County Fair

This past weekend Brynn and I headed home to take in the Wells County Fair in Fessenden. In the past it seems we've always had something going on the same weekend as the fair back home, except the past couple of years now we have been able to make it. We stayed at my parents' on Friday night and Brynn and I tooled around in Grandpa's new tractor. It was pretty fun. Brynn giving Grandpa his Father's Day gift and card. We stood on Main Street and watched the parade with Auntie Tessa and the cousins on Saturday morning. It was a nice-sized parade with quite a few alumni floats, so that was fun to see all the classes together again. Inspecting the candy I presume. Since many of the classes were having their reunions during the fair, the school was open for tours. I asked Brynn if she wanted to see where I had gone to school (and Papa Kim, Aunties Shelly and Cindy and Great-Grandma Darlene, too!). She said she wanted to, so all of us

Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust

Brynn got to spend a couple of days at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's house this week. She had a great time riding four wheeler, baking cookies and shopping in Fargo today. She seemed happy to be home again, but was sad later this evening that she missed Grandma.  Brynn has really been into Tinkerbell lately and Grandma was nice enough to buy her some fairy wings when they were shopping today! (pics of that below!)  Anyway, so I wrote the following to Brynn while she was at Grandpa and Grandma's and below is what she "wrote" back to me via Grandma. :-) Me: Hi Brynn! I know you are busy having a good time with Grandpa and Grandma! See you soon. Be a good girl. I love you. “Faith, trust and pixie dust!” Love, Mama Brynn: Love you, Mom, so much. I like Cinderella, too! Pixie dust is the light of all!   She is a good scooper. Always having to taste test. We decided to have story time outside tonight since it was so nice out... and a bedtime sa

Birthday Celebration & Father's Day

We had another busy weekend! On Friday night we were invited over for dinner at Brynn's best friend, Rosha's house. We had a good time visiting with her parents. Saturday we headed to Sartell for our friends' birthday party. Zander turned 6 and Maizie turned 4. After lots of playing, ice cream cake eating and gift opening, we headed  over to Miltona to stay with Grandpa and Grandma Oberg (Dana's maternal grandparents). We had a great time staying with them.  On Sunday we spent some family time out at Grandpa and Grandma's lake place and stopped at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's on our way home. We ate dinner there and gave Papa Kevin his Father's Day gift and left Brynn there for a couple nights. She called us to say good-night the past couple of nights, and she is having a grand old time.  Swinging at the birthday party.  Brynn and Maizie The birthday kids!
