Faith, Trust and Pixie Dust

Brynn got to spend a couple of days at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's house this week. She had a great time riding four wheeler, baking cookies and shopping in Fargo today. She seemed happy to be home again, but was sad later this evening that she missed Grandma.

Brynn has really been into Tinkerbell lately and Grandma was nice enough to buy her some fairy wings when they were shopping today! (pics of that below!)  Anyway, so I wrote the following to Brynn while she was at Grandpa and Grandma's and below is what she "wrote" back to me via Grandma. :-)

Me: Hi Brynn! I know you are busy having a good time with Grandpa and Grandma! See you soon. Be a good girl. I love you. “Faith, trust and pixie dust!” Love, Mama

Brynn: Love you, Mom, so much. I like Cinderella, too! Pixie dust is the light of all!

She is a good scooper.

Always having to taste test.

We decided to have story time outside tonight since it was so nice out...
and a bedtime sandwich snack. :-)

She is forever trying to catch a bird. I always wish her luck.
That dark blob in the grass is her target. She's trying to sneak up on it.

Taking flight.

Hahaha, I love it. That last pic is hilarious. Maybe her fairy wings will help her catch some birds. Great idea to take story time outside.

I can almost taste those cookies - the dough looks yummy. Wasn't it just the most beautiful evening for being outdoors? Great photos.
It looks as though she's really going to fly! :)

It was lots of fun having you visit. I miss you, too Brynn. Love, Grma Holly

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Christmas 2025/New Years 2026

Christmas gift wrapping shenanigans: Keeping Brynn company while she wraps all of our Christmas gifts. Brynn and I couldn't help but peek at the 150 Famous Poems book we gave to Clara. So many good ones. Getting into the holiday spirit at Courts Plus. Ha! Christmas eve brunch. Clara's gingerbread house contest strategy notes. Contestants were allowed 20 minutes to shop for their houses at Wal-mart. We left ourselves little time to get ready for the 3:00 Christmas eve service at our church. But, we made it and thankfully didn't have to sit in the overflow area in the chapel! It was a beautiful service. We had bit more time in between church and when we planned to leave for Tessa's, so I mixed up my eggnog and we got the car packed. Tessa's family hosted Christmas eve at their lake home. We had a great mix of people to play a game of Mind the Gap. Getting cookies ready for Santa. Clara got Dana and me up around 7:30 and we watched her open her stocking. I think Dana a...
