I have really been slacking on blog updates lately. I usually feel the worst in the evenings, so I don't do much during that time (separate pregnancy update to come). It feels so nice once the weekend finally rolls around to get some things done.
Painting at home last weekend. |
I love this one. This is Sleeping Beauty and the spinning wheel. The green blob is Maleficent which is what she looks like before she forms into herself. |
This is my favorite page. I don't know why. I guess just because I thought it was so creative. |
Like almost everyone else we know in North Dakota, we are also in a blizzard here in Fargo. What's more is that Excel Energy called us with an automated recording at midnight last night asking us to turn down our thermostat to 60* due to supply issues (we found out today there was a pipeline explosion). They didn't indicate for how long we should keep our heat down. If it were just Dana and me, it wouldn't be as much of an issue to turn it all the way down to what they asked, but when you have kid(s) in the house, it's kind of a different story, I think. So, we're at about 65-68* now (we usually have it set at 72-73*), but we have a space heater going, pj's and lots of quilts!
A good winter weather day activity: puzzles! Right now Dana and Brynn have the marble run set up.
One of the biggest joys in my life is to listen to Brynn playing. I always overhear the funniest things. Today she was playing with a Polly Pocket set she bought with some of her birthday money and it has different little houses that all go together. And there are two dolls that came with it. I hear Brynn as the voice for one of the dolls, "I'm going to move up to this house. I'm going to move it, move it." I know this probably doesn't seem that funny, but the second part was a song from a movie, "Madagascar." (click here if you are unfamiliar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hdcTmpvDO0I.) It just cracked me up.
