Waiting

Now that we're done traveling on the weekends while we're waiting for baby to arrive, we've been able to get caught up on a lot of things around the house which has been great. It makes us feel even more ready for this baby to come! Well, at least me anyway. The past couple of weekends when we've been home, Daddy has served us up pancakes made-to-order! Mine was chocolate chip and Brynn had hers with  M&M's. Yum. It was a perfect night outside one night last week and Brynn and Rosha were able to reunite in the park to take advantage of it. They sure do miss each other. BUMPdate: 38 weeks! Well, here we are at what feels like the bitter end. At least we've made it this far which is 2 1/2-3 weeks longer than with Brynn. I had my last appointment this past Tuesday in which I was dilated to 4 cm. I feel like the baby has dropped now, and my doctor was able to confirm that she is definitely lower than my last visit. I have more lower back pain ...

Dietz Picnic/Staying Cool

This past Saturday was the annual Dietz Picnic at my aunt and uncle's lake place on Lake Franklin. The weather was sure perfect for the get-together. The Flea Bitten Tramps played again and did a great job as usual. It was fun to see everyone. We were missing Tessa and her family, especially Brynn who missed playing with the cousins. Mom and Me (courtesy of cousin Marcie) Another pic from Marcie. I had my camera with me, but was too lazy to drag it out. Wow, was today a scorcher. We were around home for the rest of the weekend, other than when we were at Franklin. So, today we got a lot caught up on around the house, and finally got the pool out for the first time this year. Brynn had a great time splashing and swimming around in it for most of the afternoon and again after supper. Dana and I each took our turn in there as well. It really did help cool off.  These goggles are just too much for me and I just laughed at her the whole time she had them on bec...

Witch's Broom

This week Brynn has been showing me her skills with the different creations that can be made with yarn, like Cat's Cradle, Witch's Broom, etc. I am assuming she picked this up at HopeKids, because I don't even know how to do this myself to have taught her.  The theme for this week is Gone Campin'. They have a tent set up in the camp room and went on a hike at Buffalo River State Park yesterday and swimming near Barnesville, MN today.  Witch's Broom The Sailboat

Maternity Pics

I cajoled Dana into taking more pics. Since this baby will be born during the nice-weather summer months, I wanted to try and take the opportunity to take some maternity photos. So, I talked Dana into being the photographer. Tonight turned out to be a beautiful night, minus the skeeter issues. I took a few of just Brynn, too. BUMPdate while we're at it: I will be 36 weeks tomorrow. I am going weekly now for check-ups with my OB. I have my last progesterone shot next week. My most recent appointment was yesterday. Everything is still looking good. Her estimation is that the baby weighs about 5 1/2 lbs now. She asked me how long I thought I would go to which I guessed that this one would probably be overdue! Ha. She said her guess is that I'll go to 38 weeks. That would be just perfect for me - I feel more immobile by the day. Also, my Braxton Hicks contractions are not increasing in frequency, but they are in intensity. Not sure how educated her guess was, as i...

Fourth of July

On Thursday night we painted Brynn's nails patriotically and went out to the front yard to do some sparklers. The rest of the holiday was spent at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's cabin. On Saturday, Brynn and I did run over to Tamarack Lake to visit the Weckerlys. Brynn had a good time playing with the cousins there and doing more sparklers and smoke bombs back at Dead Lake. He he. I think the neighbors must have started up their fireworks at this time. Brynn already has two larger of these plushy 'pets' that she is convinced are real Furbees. Today in her McDonald's happy meal she got a mini dolphin of the similar kind. She made this nifty house for it which I thought was cute.
