Springing into Easter

On Friday night we took the girls to the mall to get their photo taken with the Easter Bunny. It's kind of hard to see at first, but they are holding hands. I thought that was just so cute and sweet. On Saturday Brynn and I attended my co-worker's wedding which was the the curling club. Dana and Clara joined later for the reception and dance. They had a kids' dance to start and it didn't take long before Brynn was out on the dance floor joining in the conga line all by herself. Such a dancing queen. All dressed up after church.  I told Brynn I was going to take some pictures of the two of them together and she wanted to do Easter pictures. She had made this Easter sign and wanted to include that. The training wheels are off! She has yet to go on her own, but I was surprised to walk past the door and glance outside yesterday to see this sight. She was out practicing with Daddy again tonight. She is saving up her money now for a new bike. S

Sickness, St. Patrick's Day, Musical Ball, Nowruz

This past week started out rough, but ended well. I had the flu on Monday and Dana stayed home with Clara and me because Clara was still not feeling very well. At the same time Dana was battling a nasty cold. I didn't like the sound of Clara's breathing and on Tuesday I picked her up early from daycare because she had a 102* temp. I took her straight to the clinic where she was diagnosed with double ear infection and bronchiolitis. Poor thing. Grandma Holly came up in the middle of the week to stay home with Clara which we were so thankful for!  Brynn made me this sweet get-well note. Then later in the week arrived our 'Box of Sunshine' from Hurdsfield! What a day brightener that was. Leave it to my sister to do something like that! It was wonderful. It was a box full of 'bright' goodies that were all yellow/golden like sunshine, made with the intent to wish us well and brighten up our household from feeling under the weather. It sure worked! Thanks

Happy Birthday, Cousin Benjamin

On Friday Dana picked Clara up early from daycare as they called me and said she wasn't feeling very well. She ended up spiking a fever at 101 on Friday night. Overnight that night Dana also came down with a sore throat. Cousin Benjamin's birthday party was yesterday, so just Brynn and I made the trip to celebrate with him. Hopefully Dana and Clara will be back to 100% very soon. The nice weather today sure helped, I think.  Birthday boy Benjamin with his cake. His theme was Berenstain Bears. We love those books at our house, so we thought it was a really fun theme. The cake was so delicious. Uncle Dana wanted to pick out his gifts for him, so it was even more of a bummer that he wasn't able to make it the party and see Ben open the gifts. We gave him a real wrench set and a tool box. Well, it did actually get above 70 degrees as forecasted today. It was great, but pretty windy, unfortunately. Clara was born when it was warm out in the summer, but since s

Visitors

Brynn playing a recent favorite piano song: Brynn being silly while eating a sucker last weekend. This weekend our friends from St. Cloud came for a visit with their two kids. It was fun to see them again and spend time together. Maizie helping feed Clara Jessica snugging with a napping Clara. Dana took them on a tour of the Case plant. Brynn had gotten a gift card to Clay Your Way for her birthday and so she had been itching to go and try it out. It is a pottery place where you choose already-made pieces to paint. They glaze your painted project and fire it and then you pick it up within a week. Brynn thought it would be fun for Zander and Maizie to go, too. It was super busy when we first got there and there were no tables for us, so we decided to walk over to Scheels which was right across the street and fart around there for a bit until some people left at Clay Your Way. Brynn loves to 'visit' the presidents statues outside the Scheel
