School Carnival, Anniversary Party & Outside Fun

Last Friday night was the annual school carnival at Centennial. Brynn wanted to meet up with her friend Lily there, so I took her and Daddy stayed home with Clara.  On Saturday we headed to Bismarck for my aunt and uncle's 40th anniversary party. I told Dana on the way that seems impossible that they could have been married for that long! We had a fun time listening to my cousin's band play and seeing friends and family, many whom we hadn't seen in quite some time. Brynn entertaining Clara on the way. Grandma Darlene and her children and their families. We stayed at Cindy and Carey's house after the party and all went out to eat at our Dietz family-favorite, Red Lobster, on Sunday. Brynn got the chance to see a live lobster up close and personal. We came home to beautiful weather on Sunday and spent the rest of the day outside!   Doing homework on the sidewalk. Helping Daddy Dana working on a project...

Happy Birthday, Daddy

We were sure loving the nice weather this week. The girls were able to play outside in the garage a bit after we got home one night. And then we had to go for ice cream, of course..  Clara is pretty excited about her latest achievement. (Sorry again on the video quality. I need to get that adjusted!) And she refuses to let me put any type of sunglasses on. I even draped a beach towel over part of the stroller. She still looks happy here because we hadn't made it out of the garage yet at this point.  While Clara and I stayed behind at home, Daddy and Brynn went to Dead Lake on Friday night until Saturday afternoon. They had great weather down the...

Butterfly Ball

It was time for the Butterfly Ball again this past weekend. Brynn wanted me to make an appointment to get her hair done, rather than me attempting it. Wise choice. She was pretty happy with how it turned out, and it did look really cute on her. The stylist was going to try and make a smooth bun, but Brynn had too much hair to make that work, I guess, so she just did a curly one instead.  Here is the handsome couple, ready to head out. Brynn chose McDonald's for her restaurant of choice before the dance. Brynn's friend, Haylie, and her dad also went last night. So, that was fun for Brynn to have another friend there. I stayed behind with this little monkey. Brynn has recently taken to showers rather than baths, so I put Clara back in the sink. She loves it in there and it's just right for her it seems, at least right now anyway. She sure loves to splash, though. Brynn has been practicing her piano a lot, especially lately. Tha...
