Throwback Thursday and Videos

I barely made Throwback Thursday, with a minute or two to spare. I was going through some old photos the other day, trying to find a baby picture of Dana since I think Clara looks so much like daddy. I thought this one was a pretty good comparison. :-) Another throwback. Clara is on the left with her new baby when Clara was still new herself! There they are again on the right just a few days ago. Big girl! Same wagon, same jammies. Brynn is on the left, Clara on the right.    Playing McDonald's drive-through together: Clara started doing this thing lately where she acts like she's going to do a somersault, but ends up just looking at you through her legs... and giggling which, in turn, makes me giggle too. What a goof. Some videos of Clara lately: She does peekaboo now. So fun: She really loves to dance now, too:

Curious Clara & Rainbow Loom Fun

I went shopping at the Moorhead Antique Mall over my lunch hour a couple of weeks ago, and found a couple of cute new (well new to me) aprons for Brynn and me. I asked Dana to take a picture of us in them the other night when we were making calzones. Not sure what is with Brynn's crazy face in the first pic. Looking for Daddy. Getting into some mischief... The rainbow loom and bands are all the rage at summer camp recently. All the girls bring their organizers with the bands in every day. Well, of course Brynn *needed* to have one too. So, she took her money and we went to Michaels one night this week and she bought more bands and this pink organizer. Auntie Cindy wanted to see the Minion movie and so did Brynn, so they made a date this afternoon to go see it. Cindy picked her up from our house and Brynn had to first show off her bracelet goods. Brynn's always thinking. She asked Daddy to make her some popcorn before the movie, so she could have

Cousin Camp, Swimming & Swinging

For those who also read my sister's blog, some of these will be a repeat - sorry! My sister was kind enough to host a "Cousin Camp" right after the Fourth of July. Turns out it was more "Brynn Camp," as she ended up being the only cousin to attend. She had such a great time and I loved hearing about all the fun things they did. She says she definitely wants to go back again next year! We sure missed her here and she did seem glad to get back home. Thanks, Tessa, for all the fun and for having her! (These pics from Cousin Camp are all ones Tessa took and I hawked off of her blog. :-) )   Talent Show Hide and Seek I thought this game looked like so much fun. I think they wore a shower camp with whipped cream or shaving cream and the other teammates had to see how many marshmallows they could throw onto the other person's cap. They also went fishing and made their own t-shirts (which is what Brynn is wearing in the below pic). C

Fourth of July

We had a busy, but fun Fourth of July holiday! Friday morning we headed out for Dead Lake. On Friday evening Dana's cousin Marie came out with her kids. Brynn had a blast playing with them. This is the littlest guy of the bunch. I could just eat him up he's so cute! Must be getting close to bed time. :-)  Dana and Brynn had stocked up on some fireworks on Thursday night, so they set some off on Friday evening. A Fourth of July toast! Little Captain likes to drive the pontoon. Clara and Grandpa Don Later in the afternoon on Saturday we went over to Tamarac Lake where my sister was at her in-laws' place. My dad came over, too, as he was waiting for my mom to come up to the lake after her holiday events in Carrington. Having a snack with Papa Kim The kids had these walkie-talkies they were playing with and it was so funny listening to their conversations.
