Thanksgiving to Christmas

Wednesday we celebrated Auntie Christel's birthday by eating out and with cheesecake. Happy birthday, Auntie! Brynn made a custom birthday hat for her. Discussing the boyfriend who surfaced with the last remaining candle. Thursday we hosted Thanksgiving as we traditionally do at our house. We were missing my sister's family this year, but were grateful for those who were able to attend. Brynn, Granny Annie and Grandma Laurie playing a mean game of Monopoly.  Master Carver and me with Tillie the Turkey. She was a big gal. Dana hard at work Brynn's best friend, Rosha, and her family were able to join us again this year. I'd like to say we all had a nice visit with them, but more accurately we grilled them on life and customs in Iran. :-) Brynn reading one of Clara's favorite books to her. (It's a book that goes through the song and actions of "If You're Happy and You Know It." Clara has really been getting into all t...

Updates

I forgot to update after Clara's 15-month check-up about a week and a half ago. She is healthy and doing great! She is still on the small end of the spectrum at 18 lbs. But she packs a lot of fire into her little body. :-) She kept hitting my face the other day and I kept pulling her hand away and telling her 'no.' Then I reminded her to be nice to Mommy in which she responded with a big hug. Hard to stay angry with those loves. This picture below is our typical morning. Every morning. Just like Brynn used to, Clara loves to watch me put on my make-up in the morning. She even pretends to dab the brush in the blush and put it on her face. Haha. Always crack me up. Or she likes to dump the entire contents of my make-up bag out onto the counter, like below!  A little throwback Thursday action here....hopefully we don't end up in the same situation as Brynn got herself into at just a little bit older than Clara is now. :-) Bath times! Clara gets so craz...

Fall Activities with Family & Friends

Last weekend we were in Carrington and Hurdsfield for some fun and time with my family. Grandpa Kim and Dana set up a hay ride for the kids and they had a blast again this year. On Saturday evening we headed to Hurdsfield for the carnival at the Community Center. They went all out this year with an inflatable bouncy house and carriage rides.  Pretty sunset from Tessa's yard. Clara takes a turn on good ole Clip Clop. This past weekend my childhood friend and her family came up for a visit. It was a really nice weekend to be outside, so the kids were able to play in the backyard and park quite a bit. We had a good time catching up and the kids had a fun time playing together. Not into picture taking at the moment. There we go! Everybody got excited for the movie. Twinsies! Representin' Fessenden with our old VB sweatshirts. One of Brynn's recent drawings.

Halloween 2015 & Clara 15 Months

What a fun Halloween we had with the cousins! Weckerlys arrived Saturday afternoon in time for our pre-trick-or-treating Halloween Party. We got some decorations up in the garage and played some games and bobbed for apples. First up was guessing how many candy corns were in this jar. Reagan was the winner! They decorated milk jugs to make ghost lanterns. They sure did a good job bobbing for apples. Clara didn't want to miss out on the action. Mummy-wrapping contest. It was a pretty close draw, so everyone got a prize. Yes, I know. I went there with "everyone's a winner." :-P Spectator Headed out! Tessa's childhood classmate/friend joined us with her husband and kids whose costumes were also "Wizard of Oz" themed. Rosha was able to come along trick-or-treating too. It was fairly chilly and windy, but the girls made it up and down our entire street on both sides. The guys took Ben and Cla...
