Family Fun Night

Well, I'm a little behind in updating the blog, though we haven't been up to too much lately...

Clara is usually down for doing my mile walk with me, but then gets tired out right away and has to take a bit of a rest. Ha.

Brynn loves re-purposing things to make organizers or art or what have you. Clara had requested an organizer for her hair accessories and make-up, so Brynn fashioned one up for her.

Last weekend the girls and I stayed at my parents on Friday night and then headed to Hurdsfield for the Family Fun Night at the community center. This year Tessa's mother-in-law asked Brynn to help with one of the kids' activities so she was pretty excited about that.

Clara was eating most of the time. :-)

Elise was running the caramel apple table. There were so many yummy toppings. She did a great job!

Clara eating again. :-)

Brynn, Reagan and Reagan's friend Madison were trying to maintain order over at the bouncy castle.

After a bit Brynn came to join Elise and the apples.

Wanda gave the girls awesome gifts for helping plus all the kids received prizes to take home.

I put half my raffle tickets in for a LEGO set for Brynn and Clara and I wanted cookies for a year! So, I used the rest of my tickets on that and I won it! I am so stoked. It came with a cookie jar which was already filled with pumpkin cookies that had a brown butter frosting. They were fantastic. I am looking forward to the rest of the months' cookies, though I may have to pay off my sister with some of them to get them to me.

I had to show Brynn this graphic that popped up on my Instagram one day. She identifies as the Gryffindor house, so of course she was disappointed that South Fargo was Hufflepuff. (From Harry Potter. :-))

One of our growers from work brought us homemade bread this week. It was so good!

The girls are off at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's this weekend. Grandma Holly sent me some pics of what they were up to today.

Meanwhile, I rang the Salvation Army bell by my lonesome this year at the Cash Wise near my house. Last year, though, the girls pooped out on me pretty early on, so just as well that I was ringing solo this year, I guess.

Yum, that bread looks delish! So glad you guys came for the big Family Fun Night :) I actually forgot all about your cookie win - we'll have to keep in touch. Oh man, that's so funny about the HP houses thing as we were just talking about Harry Potter tonight and the kids wanted to know what house Chad & I identify with (as I have not seen the movies or read much from the books, I had no idea really what was going on). It turns out I am Hufflepuff I guess, with Ravenclaw as a close second. Chad was Slytherin. Ben is Gryffindor, Reagan is a fellow Hufflepuff and Elise is Ravenclaw, according to their quizzes. Jury's out on Ollie.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! January + Valentine's Day + CATS!

We ARE still alive over here and have not frozen to death. Here's what we've been up to for the past month and a half! Brynn and Hubert at the OG (Olive Garden): 'Lady and the Tramp' style. haha. Taking in a Force game...with extra fighting. It was very exciting. One Sunday when Clara was at a sleepover, the three of us went to Black Coffee Waffle Bar after church and then for some crepes and boba at Tea & Crepe. Then Brynn and I went prom dress shopping which was really fun. She did find a dress she loves so that was a relief. This is not the one she chose, but she tried on quite a few nice ones. Clara made crowns for the king and I (me). Clara had to write an essay to be considered for the robotics team at school. She waited for at least a couple of weeks to learn if she was accepted, and unfortunately was not. She was pretty disappointed, but she does have a chance to reapply next year when she's a fifth grader, and won't have to write another essay. I th...
