Froemmings

Each year the girls and I try to make some type of photo ornament for the grandparents. This was our 2019 ornament. It was one of the better ones we've done as it was really fun and easy for the girls to put together. (Usually we make one for our own tree too!) On Friday Dana's family arrived to celebrate Christmas. Yesterday was a beautiful winter day with a pretty snowfall all day. Grandma, the girls and I took advantage and went out to play in the snow while Daddy was on the snowblower. Documentation that I was playing outside! Ha! It wasn't so bad this time. The girls got so many fun and nice gifts... Our celebration is currently extending a bit longer as we are snowed in. Most of Fargo has closed down with no travel advised as well as portions of Interstates 94 and 29. On Friday the girls made a snow volcano. It was pretty cool! And snowmen... We had a two-day hoarfrost which is unheard of in Fargo as typically if we wake to a frosty morning, it is burned off by noon. So, I coaxed the girls outside for some wintry pics. The snow was so bright, though, they kind of struggled with that. These last two are not black and white pics - the trees are just that dark contrasted to the white of the snow.

We made Christmas countdown chains in Sunday school. We started off with our first Christmas celebration with just the four of us at home on Sunday. Brynn had wanted to do a secret Santa exchange this year, so we each spent $5.00 on the person whose name we had drawn. Clara needed a little assistance...with purchasing her gift and with remembering to keep the secret. :-) Dana had Brynn's name; she was excited to open a huge can of Arnold Palmer and BBQ potato chips. She promptly wrote on the bag of chips to stake claim that they were hers. On Monday morning we headed to Fessenden where grandma Darlene and auntie Shelly were busy making bumbushkies for Christmas eve dinner at Tessa's. We joined in as soon as we arrived.
