CA + Spring Break + Butterfly Ball

We were fooled into thinking spring was here for a few weeks, and then we were back to the reality of an impending March snowstorm...which didn't really materialize. We do have some snow the ground again now though.

We did try to take advantage of the weather one evening when it was still nice and got out in the side-by-side.

The girls had a whole week off again for spring break last week. Clara was able to stay at Grandpa and Grandma Froemming's and it looked like she stayed pretty busy!

I had to head to Anaheim again for our big trade show there. The weather was nice, the show went well and I was able to enjoy some hot tub time and reading.

The trade show offered yoga in the mornings so I took that in and it was really good.

I had Cheesecake Factory three times. Haha. It's so good and was within walking distance to my hotel.

Brynn stayed in Fargo during spring break and did some work for Jenine and  hung out with friends and Hubert. She and Dad ate out a couple of nights.

Sadly, I missed the Butterfly Ball while I was in CA, but Brynn so kindly helped Clara get all ready and then took pictures for me too.

Clara chose Subway for their dinner out before the ball.

Clara was pleasantly surprised that Adria was in attendance too!

They had a great time!

I was glad to get back home on Sunday. Brynn sorted all the food samples I brought back from the trade show.

Jen (my boss) sent me Crumbl for a successful trade show celebration. She's so great!

I'm glad the trade show went well - love the sunset pics! Is that a crepe place Brynn and Dana are at in that one photo? Looks delish! Clara looks so pretty in the butterfly ball pics!! I love how her hair turned out! Wow you made a haul on the samples. The Crumbl looks yummy as usual!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Christmas 2025/New Years 2026

Christmas gift wrapping shenanigans: Keeping Brynn company while she wraps all of our Christmas gifts. Brynn and I couldn't help but peek at the 150 Famous Poems book we gave to Clara. So many good ones. Getting into the holiday spirit at Courts Plus. Ha! Christmas eve brunch. Clara's gingerbread house contest strategy notes. Contestants were allowed 20 minutes to shop for their houses at Wal-mart. We left ourselves little time to get ready for the 3:00 Christmas eve service at our church. But, we made it and thankfully didn't have to sit in the overflow area in the chapel! It was a beautiful service. We had bit more time in between church and when we planned to leave for Tessa's, so I mixed up my eggnog and we got the car packed. Tessa's family hosted Christmas eve at their lake home. We had a great mix of people to play a game of Mind the Gap. Getting cookies ready for Santa. Clara got Dana and me up around 7:30 and we watched her open her stocking. I think Dana a...
