School + Labor Day Weekend + Stuff

Brynn's HS did a senior sunrise at 6:00 AM a few days after school started. I think there was only one guy there, so mostly girls....taking pictures and what not. They took a group shot of all the girls who were there. Brynn is fifth in from the right on the bottom/front row, kneeling. Clara and I walked over for the first HS home game last Friday night. Clara procured us some snacks and scored some free popcorn in the process. We celebrated Mom's birthday over labor day weekend with our usual fish fry. It was a team effort in lighting the candles. Happy birthday, Mom! The after party crew playing Nertz. It was very foggy last Sunday morning. I went out into it for a walk and could just feel the moisture on me. Brynn seemed pretty set on attending UND after she graduates this next spring, but asked to visit NDSU to check out another option. Back to School 2025

I think I had forgotten to include the pic of Clara and I shopping for school supplies in my last post, but it's probably more fitting for this one anyhow. We pretty quickly checked off the items on her list and were on our way!   Brynn made some pumpkin cinnamon rolls with espresso icing. They were divine! Clara's back to school night was Monday. Her accelerated literacy teacher also has advanced math students she works with. Her classroom moved to a different room this year and she provided some clues as to where it was. Clearly it was geared more for the math students versus reading. Ha. It was a stumper. Clara wrote down the clues so she could try to figure it out on her own. Mrs. Warner did also include the answer, and even knowing it, Brynn, Clara and I still struggled to figure it out. Whew! More forms, putting things away in her desk and meeting her teacher. Cookies!
