July

Reagan was in town and came to watch Clara's last tennis lesson.

Clara is very excited to be a junior bridesmaid in Nanny Izabell and her fiancé, Neil's, wedding.

Brynn and her friend, Karah, spent a few days out at Dead Lake. Thanks for having them, Grandpa and Grandma Froemming!

Dana and I made it over to Bear Creek winery as Maria's Mexican food truck was parked out there. It was so delish.

We had our Dietz family get-together at Franklin. It was a beautiful day and so good to see everyone.
Clara and I with great uncle Doug (my grandpa's youngest brother) and baby Aurora,
Doug's great-grandchild.

We were so glad Shelly and Lester were able to make it.

I left the get-together so I could get back to Fargo to pick up Amanda for the Boyz II Men concert at the fairgrounds.

They sounded so good and we had a lot of fun. I only wished I had gotten us closer to the stage.

Clara went back to Dead Lake with Grandpa and Grandma after Lake Franklin and did some fishing.

I was in Chicago for a few days for work.

We finally got around to celebrating our 21st wedding anniversary last night. Our actual date is June 26th, but we had been too busy it seemed.

We ate out at one of our favs, 46 North Pints & Provisions. This was our dessert.

Dana bought this gazebo for our deck and I told him it would be fun if we could set up the projector to watch a movie out there, so he got everything all ready to go. It was so fun.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Christmas 2025/New Years 2026

Christmas gift wrapping shenanigans: Keeping Brynn company while she wraps all of our Christmas gifts. Brynn and I couldn't help but peek at the 150 Famous Poems book we gave to Clara. So many good ones. Getting into the holiday spirit at Courts Plus. Ha! Christmas eve brunch. Clara's gingerbread house contest strategy notes. Contestants were allowed 20 minutes to shop for their houses at Wal-mart. We left ourselves little time to get ready for the 3:00 Christmas eve service at our church. But, we made it and thankfully didn't have to sit in the overflow area in the chapel! It was a beautiful service. We had bit more time in between church and when we planned to leave for Tessa's, so I mixed up my eggnog and we got the car packed. Tessa's family hosted Christmas eve at their lake home. We had a great mix of people to play a game of Mind the Gap. Getting cookies ready for Santa. Clara got Dana and me up around 7:30 and we watched her open her stocking. I think Dana a...
