I think I had forgotten to include the pic of Clara and I shopping for school supplies in my last post, but it's probably more fitting for this one anyhow. We pretty quickly checked off the items on her list and were on our way!
More forms, putting things away in her desk and meeting her teacher.
Cookies!

Dad helped her get her bike washed up so she and I could ride to school this morning.
Clara got up bright and early for the first day today.
The school district's Facebook account posted some shots from each of the schools throughout the day and these were a couple from Clara's school. She's right in the middle of this one and the second one is her classroom, but she's not actually shown in the picture.
I noticed Adria sent a sweet note to Clara after I had returned from biking with her to the school. 💜 Adria is in a different school district and already started last week.
Onto our senior! I don't think she knew I was starting to cry just taking these this morning. Most of the class wore their senior shirts for the first day today.
I am thankful she let me take one last chalkboard picture this morning. It's no secret Brynn doesn't like school, but hopefully she can enjoy all the lasts this year will bring. I had to do a compilation of all her first day of school pictures from each year.
My gem of a boss, Jen, sent Crumbl for the girls' first day. It was such a great surprise.
Thank you to everyone who sent messages and called the girls to wish them well for their first day. I biked with Clara back home and she said overall her day was pretty good, but she wishes she had Mr. Pederson again. He was her second grade teacher and now has moved up to teach fifth grade this year, but did not get into his class. Many of her friends are in her class, though, so I know she's glad for that and I think she'll have a great year, her last in elementary!
I worked from home all day today and I think Brynn didn't realize I was here (typically I'm in the office Wednesday afternoons) when she got home. So, I didn't get a chance to talk to her at the end of her day before she was off again to go to work. She did have an open period in the morning when she ran home so I was able to get some initial updates from her at that time. It was going about as well as could be expected it sounded like. :-)
