Little One, Big Faith

“Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God.” As we were walking out of the preschool room last week, Abby, one of the teachers at Brynn’s preschool, mentioned she was just talking about Brynn to another staff member. (I was hoping because of something good, and not bad, of course!) And she says to me, “I just love Brynn’s faith.” She proceeded to tell me how Brynn tells them when she’s working on something that God is helping her and when others are struggling with a task, she encourages them and says, “you can do it. God is helping you.” We have noticed Brynn’s strong faith and love for Jesus around home, of course, but it was so sweet to hear it coming from someone else, too. From baptizing her Baby Hazel to telling God, “I love you and I’ll miss you until I get to Heaven,” it is so neat to watch such a little person grow in her faith so much. She once told me that God says we should help others and so she thought she should be ...

Fall is here

We sure have been having some great and unseasonably warm fall weather. Brynn wanted to rake together a pile of leaves the other day so she could jump into them. Rather it ended up to be about 30% grass, 40% debris, 10% twigs and maybe 20% leaves. So, that ended up quite a mess, but she had fun. Making monster cookies! I think she has gotten used to she and I doing our annual "Halloween Preview Photo Shoot" because she ran into the house after the leaf pile and put on her Cinderella dress and thought we should take pictures. I don't even know for sure yet if she's actually going to be Cinderella for Halloween, but I thought some of these were cute, so I thought I'd post them.

Photo Ops

It's not a very good photo, but at the time it was cute and funny. :-) A couple of weekends ago I tried to sneak downstairs to eat my lunch in the recliner. Of course that didn't go unnoticed. So Brynn had to come and join me. She thought that was pretty cool to eat in her bean bag. Classic Brynn: half naked with dress shoes on.  That same weekend we had attended one of Dana's co-worker's wedding and they had a photo booth. So, Brynn and I had to go check it out. I know it has been a while since I've last had a blog update. Please bear with me (I do have a bunch more photos to upload!), as I'm currently having some issues with Blogger and uploading many more photos. So, I hope to get back on track of posting soon! Meanwhile, I leave you with a video of Brynn declaring the love she has for Jesus in her heart. :-) She didn't know I was videoing her, hence why I'm only catching her backside. And, sorry, she does think tights are pants and that ...

Lightning Bolt!

Brynn is in the Lightning Bolts section of gymnastics at TNT Kids Fitness. This is the same section she was in when she used to go with Nancy's daycare group. So, I take her in the evenings now that she's at Hope. Tonight was the third night in her nine-week session. She seems to really enjoy it. And I think it helps that she was used to going there with Nancy's group, so she feels pretty comfortable with everything.  Ooops, underwears have escaped. :-) Jelly fish artwork from preschool.

Fall is near

We spent Labor Day weekend, and what seems to be the last weekend of this season, at Tamarack with the cousins.  Brynn, Reagan and Dana out on the paddle boat. This past weekend we celebrated my mom's birthday at their farm...and tried to get a pic of grams and gramps with the grandkids. Crazy girls.

Summer Pics

Payment for taking nice pictures. :-)
