Phone Pics

Sadly I only have pics from my phone and pics that my mom sent me to update for my blog post this time. And I realize this is only my second blog post for this month. Yikes!

We have been keeping busy, especially so for me at work lately. The girls have been having fun spending time outside, especially since we put out a little pool and the water table out on our deck.

Two weekends ago Brynn and Clara had their weekend of fun with Grandma and Grandpa Dietz at their lake. It was Brynn's 'half birthday' and she is always so dismayed that I never recognize it or celebrate it in any way. So, she was pretty excited that they were going to be having some kind of celebration at the lake. My mom kindly sent me a bunch of pics from the weekend.

At Brynn's fav store, Dollar General, with her half-birthday balloon.

Grabbing some lunch at DQ.

I guess they found a fun park to check out after lunch.

I always love Brynn's creative clay creations!

I got a new phone that actually takes better pictures than my previous phone did, so I have been grabbing that for some quick pics lately. I need to get back on track with my real camera, though.

Last weekend we went to visit Uncle John and Auntie Christel. It was great pool weather. The girls had a fun time swimming and playing with their kitties.

Darn cheeks always get in the way!

Typical scene in the pool; someone is always splashing (usually Clara) and Clara has a tendency to hit Brynn which, of course, does not go over well.

On Monday night, Brynn's best friend Rosha's dad invited us to the family picnic at his place of work, Microsoft. We always get a kick out of it when Brynn tries to say Microsoft, because it always comes out "Mascroft." haha. They had a HUGE set-up of inflatables and a lot of food, face painting and a photo booth. It was super hot, but we stayed until the end. Brynn and Rosha had a great time running around to the different activities. It was so nice of them to invite us to come with them.

Brynn is usually pretty cautious about things like this jumping deal here, so I was really surprised when she went for it. She had a blast on it.

Last night we went out to Red Lobster to use up a couple of gift cards we had. And I didn't have anything planned/made for supper. Daddy and Brynn were playing tic-tac-toe and Daddy did a little victory dance, with which Brynn was not impressed.

I had to go out to the park to watch Brynn's new moves on the monkey bars.

We ran into one of her school mates there on the right side of the picture. She is in the same grade as Brynn at Centennial, though they haven't actually been in the same class; so far anyway.

And lastly, a video of Clara saying "M&M." haha. She says "M&M&M." It cracks Brynn and me up every time.

Little Clara's so cute sitting next to Dad at DQ. Ahoy mateys on the pirate ship! I can't believe how creative Brynn is with her play doh and clay creations. I'm always amazed! That lifejacket pic is so hilarious. How nice of Rosha's family to invite you guys; it looked like fun. Nice to have an evening to eat out once in a while - especially at good old Red Slobster.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! January + Valentine's Day + CATS!

We ARE still alive over here and have not frozen to death. Here's what we've been up to for the past month and a half! Brynn and Hubert at the OG (Olive Garden): 'Lady and the Tramp' style. haha. Taking in a Force game...with extra fighting. It was very exciting. One Sunday when Clara was at a sleepover, the three of us went to Black Coffee Waffle Bar after church and then for some crepes and boba at Tea & Crepe. Then Brynn and I went prom dress shopping which was really fun. She did find a dress she loves so that was a relief. This is not the one she chose, but she tried on quite a few nice ones. Clara made crowns for the king and I (me). Clara had to write an essay to be considered for the robotics team at school. She waited for at least a couple of weeks to learn if she was accepted, and unfortunately was not. She was pretty disappointed, but she does have a chance to reapply next year when she's a fifth grader, and won't have to write another essay. I th...
