Happy Easter

We had a wonderful Easter holiday celebrating with my side at my sister's house. We had Friday off of work, so we headed to Hurdsfield and got started on Easter egg dyeing that afternoon. Saturday we had my Grandma's 80th birthday party at our home church in Fessenden. It was a great turnout with lots of family and friends I hadn't seen in a while. Brynn asked Grandma Darlene if she was excited to be 30 years old. :-)  We attended Tessa and Chad's church service with them this morning and continued the day with Easter dinner, egg hunting and a visit from the Easter Bunny at their house. Patience! Oh Daddy, so silly.  Brynn with her Easter basket goodies. Good ole chocolate bunny. Here comes Peter Cottontail! (The Easter Bunny is my Grandma, the one who just turned 80.) Brynn stared at her and then says, "hey! I think that's Grandma Darlene!" Ha. Good-bye, until next year! Grandm

Easter Bunny

On Sunday we did our yearly visit to the Easter Bunny at the mall. This year Brynn was so excited to see him, and walked right up to him and gave him a big hug before she jumped into his lap where she posed herself as you see below for her picture with him. Of course in true Brynn fashion she asked him many questions to which he only would gesture in response. So, I did a lot of translating to her.  We met Grandpa and Grandma Froemming at the mall, too, and had a DQ snack, did some shopping and stopped to visit the pets at the pet store. We looked at every single animal in the pet store, including the 'skinny' pigs. :-) She thought that's what I was saying when I pointed out the guinea pigs. He he. One had red eyes and she did not like that! We are gearing up to spend Easter with my side this year at my sister's house. I wonder if the Easter Bunny will show up there. Have a blessed and happy Easter, everyone!

Teddy Bear Tea Party

This morning Brynn attended the Teddy Bear Tea Party at Rheault Farm which is put on by the Fargo Park District. They served snacks and had a little program about etiquette and manners, and even played games like bingo. They had hats and accessories for the kids to wear and to dress up their bears. Brynn's friend Haylie was there, too, which Brynn was really excited about. However, she told  me it was boring when we left. I'm guessing that was the talk on manners. :-) And she was sort of miffed she didn't get a bingo. It was a fun set-up, though, and Haylie and Brynn were hilarious as they looked like two little old ladies with their hats on. Haylie and Brynn They also crafted little bibs for their bears.

Snow Day

I guess I should have taken the hint when all the Fargo schools were closed yesterday that there likely would not be preschool then. I had Dana's truck, and needed to pick up rolls for my co-worker's birthday celebration (priorities!), so Brynn and I ventured to the church first, only to find no cars in the parking lot and locked doors. So, we continued on, picked up the rolls and headed into my office. Brynn did some cutting and coloring projects, and made a birthday picture for my co-worker. The highlight for her was eating the rolls with us for the birthday celebration. I was able to get some things organized in the office before she started repeatedly asking me when we were going home. So, around 11:00 am we wrapped it up and headed back home where we changed into jammies and made the most of our snow day. Auntie Tessa gave me an all-things-chocolate-chip-cookie-dough cookbook for Christmas and I hadn't yet made anything from it. Brynn spotted the photo of the hear

Four-time Bouncin' Basher

Just doing a little catching up on the blog tonight, starting out with last weekend when we celebrated cousin Benjamin's first birthday! It hardly seems like any time has passed since we were over in Bismarck enjoying 70* weather and visiting the Weckerly family's new arrival. He had a great dinosaur-themed birthday. This is the page Brynn completed for the preschool share bag. The longer sentence she wrote says, "I like to be anything." However, she answered the posed question with 'doctor.' That is her in the middle with the audioscope and clipboard. On the right is a mom and her baby waiting to be seen and the house thing on the left is the playhouse that is available to play in at the particular doctor's office she usually visits. West Fargo Parks held its annual Bouncin' Bash again this year, and of course, we didn't want to miss out on that, as this was Brynn's fourth year attending. And what a difference a year makes in so
