Four-time Bouncin' Basher

Just doing a little catching up on the blog tonight, starting out with last weekend when we celebrated cousin Benjamin's first birthday! It hardly seems like any time has passed since we were over in Bismarck enjoying 70* weather and visiting the Weckerly family's new arrival. He had a great dinosaur-themed birthday.

This is the page Brynn completed for the preschool share bag. The longer sentence she wrote says, "I like to be anything." However, she answered the posed question with 'doctor.' That is her in the middle with the audioscope and clipboard. On the right is a mom and her baby waiting to be seen and the house thing on the left is the playhouse that is available to play in at the particular doctor's office she usually visits.

West Fargo Parks held its annual Bouncin' Bash again this year, and of course, we didn't want to miss out on that, as this was Brynn's fourth year attending. And what a difference a year makes in so many ways. As I mentioned, we were enjoying unseasonably warm temperatures last year and the weekend of the Bouncin' Bash in 2012 had been no exception. As you may recall from that year's blog post (http://froemmingfamily.blogspot.com/2012/03/what-day.html), Brynn had spent the remainder of the day outside with a t-shirt on. Well, this year was about 60 degrees colder :-( The other difference this year was that Brynn was the most brave she has been at the Bouncin' Bash. She tried almost every bouncy thing and more. And last year she loved the shooting range and even said that was the first thing she was going to do this year, but ended up not being into it at all this time. Another successful Bouncin' Bash in the books.

Oops. ;-)

Fort! They actually made forts at Sunday school yesterday, so I think that's where her inspiration for this one came from. She invited me in there, and it was about 90*, I think.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
