CNH Company Picnic & Good-bye

Brynn got on the bus for the first time this year on Friday. We were happy to see our bestest bus driver Don is still working the 118 route again this year. Clara was excited to see him, too, and waved furiously at him yelling, "hiiii, Don!" Once we move we will definitely miss seeing him the mornings and waving to him. He noticed our sold sign and asked if we were moving. I choked out a 'yeah.'  Case New Holland was holding an employee picnic on Saturday, so we hit that up for a while. It was pretty chilly, but we warmed up with a tour through the plant. They had lots of food there including cotton candy. More cotton candy for Brynn! It started at noon,so by the time we had done all that there was to do, Clara was ready for her nap. Here's what Daddy designs: the wheel loaders. We were supposed to be packing, but found ourselves snuggling instead. I'd rather snuggle over packing any day! Brynn showcasing Clar

First Day of School

Brynn knew last night that we would be doing the annual obligatory photos on the front step this morning. :-) So, she kindly indulged me again. She seems so much older this year. It wasn't Clara first day of anything and she didn't want any pics in front of the house, but she did allow me to snap one of her outside of church/preschool. We got Clara dropped off and then headed to Brynn's school. They posted this in the preschool app today. I was surprised that Clara's fav toy is a truck, but that's a definite on her fav food. Ha. She did have a big day as she also had the share bag in which she brings a book from home to share with the class. She chose 'The Very Hungry Caterpillar." So, Brynn totally blew me off when we got to the school! I was all ready to go in with her and take her to her classroom, just like all the other years prior. She had other plans, though, which were to meet up with one of her friends for breakfast. So

Back to School

Sister love!  Last week Clara was really into having Brynn put her to bed. Brynn was rocking her after she read Clara her bedtime story. The girls were off to Dead Lake on Friday to have one last hurrah before school starts on Thursday of this week. Christel came to visit for the weekend and we had a fun time out on the town on Friday night. While at The Toasted Frog we decided to do a pizza tour around downtown. This was our first pizza at The Frog. It was sooo good. Our second stop was Blackbird Woodfire. I love their Lumberjack pizza there. By the time we got to Rhombus Guys, we were kind of getting pizza-ed out. There are actually two other really good pizza places downtown that we could have included in the tour, but we could only handle so much. So, we opted for the s'mores pizza at Rhombus which was also really good. The Friday night rooftop movie was Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Winner! I love that movie! I missed the actual s

Officially

Clara is officially a preschooler full-time now. We must call her that a lot, along with 'big girl,' because she now calls herself a 'big girler.' Haha. She is doing well in preschool. I don't think she has taken a nap yet since she's been in that room, but word on the street is there are about six older kids moving on to Kindergarten next week and they don't really nap anymore, thus they're pretty noisy during the younger ones' nap time. Maybe after they go off to school she'll sleep. The other official news is that our house is SOLD! We can move into the new place September 15th. Thankfully we're able to get into the detached garage of the new place beginning September 1st which will help a ton. We're really excited. Horsing around with the girls. Poor Daddy...
