January

I feel like it's been ages since I've updated the blog, but we haven't been up to a whole lot lately. Here are some highlights though... Brynn looked up all the cancer ribbon colors and drew each one that she found. 💓 I was greeted by this snow angel outside my office building one morning. I guess it was one of my coworkers. Loved it! Brynn and her artistic self. :-) As you may have heard by now, Brynn's hamster, Eddie, passed away a little over a week ago. We're not sure what happened, of course. It was pretty sad, though, and I felt so terribly for Brynn. He was a good little buddy. Right away, Brynn made this tribute collage about him. Clara ready for school one morning this week, sporting sequined cat ears. Brynn was thinking all week if she was ready to get a new hamster and decided she was. So, she and Dad came home with Mickey on Friday. I thought my family knew I am FREAKED OUT by all things albino and this guy has the red eyes and all. But, he is still pre

Happy 13th, Brynn!

Happy 13th birthday to Brynnie!  Obviously it's crazy to think she's a teenager now. We are so proud of the amazing young woman she is growing into. We love you, Brynn Marie! We figured we shouldn't throw a regular birthday party this year with hosting a bunch of family and friends at our house. Instead Brynn said she wanted to go back up to Bemidji to Kohl's Resort...the one our friends run and where we went for a weekend this past fall. Cousin Reagan came along to help us celebrate. Grandpa and Grandma Froemming called to wish Brynn a happy birthday. We had breakfast and then the girls ice skated on the lake for a bit while Dana roasted some dogs over the fire for us for lunch. It was so beautiful there again; this time with white frosty trees. Brynn had been wanting to try skiing since we were at Detroit Mountain last year. Buena Vista Ski Resort is just 15 miles from Kohl's, so we thought it would work out great for us to get some skiing in. Reagan had a new-to-

New Years

First post of the new year - woohoo! Happy 2021! Here's how we spent New Years Eve and Day: I had picked up a sugar cookie decorating kit from Jen's Bakery near our house. It was cute and the girls had fun frosting the cookies. Sometimes these kind of sugar cookies are not my fav, but these are actually really tasty.   We didn't have too much planned for NYE, but we did make it halfway through a game of Loaded Questions. Clara was tired and went to bed a bit after 9:00 and we let Brynn stay up until 11:00, so she watched part of a Harry Potter movie. Today we had an easy morning and then headed to my parents' lake for the afternoon to celebrate Christmas with my side. I got a lot of awesome gifts in which my pile of cookies here will pair nicely with my wine I received. Can't wait to dig into all of that! I had been wanting to go on a little walking holiday lights tour in the neighborhood next to ours (Martens Way) and finally talked Brynn into going with me tonight
