On Thursday we had our fun day, but then Friday Dana and I had work off for the holiday, and it was time to get ready for the Fourth.
Brynn and I worked on the food in which Brynn made patriotic chocolate-covered strawberries.
I also made the biggest batch of tuna macaroni salad ever known to man, but somehow didn't get a pic of that - it probably doesn't photograph well actually.
I coerced Brynn into attempting an eagle cheeseball. He was glorious.
Dana, Clara and I went to Dead Lake after dinner on Friday night as we had the Froemming get-together there on Saturday.
Brynn headed out to Tamarac so she could be JFK in the parade float...trying to be as accurate as possible. Sierra posing as Lincoln here.

Meanwhile, back at Dead Lake, I snapped some pics of Clara as family was starting to arrive.
We're never short on good food!
Dana and Clara took a quick jet ski ride before we packed up to join Brynn and my side at Tamarac.
Unplanned twinning. :-)
Nerts, of course.
I was really on the hunt ahead of the holiday to find everything patriotic to wear for the Fourth this year. I pulled this gem out of our closet. I asked Dana if he recognized it and turns out he had been wondering when he was going to get his sweatshirt from his high school days back. Never!
The annual photo!
Photo cred goes to Wanda on this next pic. The girls put together a quick song.
Dana and Clara left for home after the fireworks and Brynn and I stayed over at the lake. It was an even nicer day out on Sunday and Clara and Dana came back out to Tamarac.
Elise kindly partnered up with me to go tubing. I knew even though Chad was driving very reasonably that I would still be sore the next day...or three. Worth it. (Photo cred: Tessa)
We spent the afternoon floating and visiting, resting and going on a walk.
Thanks to Froemmings and Weckerlys for hosting us. Happy 250th, America!
