This year we spent Easter with Dana's family. Friday was Dana's birthday, so we celebrated with his parents at their house. Brynn hid his presents, but then helped him search for them. We were so glad to finally have some nice weather to enjoy, and what good timing. I am always bummed if it's icky weather on Easter. I was glad we were able to have the Easter egg hunt outside. I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter, too! Thank you, Holly and Kevin, for a wonderful holiday.
Thursday night Brynn asked me to take some "Easter" pictures of her and Dad. Dad was on the phone at the time, so Brynn was fine with pictures of just herself. :-)

Brynn finally made it to see the Easter bunny on Friday. I love how she's holding his paw. He he. |
Daddy said he would like chocolate melting cake for his birthday treat. Some call it lava cake since it is gooey in the middle. It lived up to that name as it melted the wax candles. Oops.

Decorating the Easter tree. |
Dana and his parents were working in the cabin on Saturday, so Brynn and I hung out down by the beach. The lake is slowly melting!

Gearing up to try one of the eggs she dyed. |
|
She just kind of gnawed on it...and made a mess with it. |

Found a basket! |

So cute. Isn't that book the truth, Tessa? (wink, wink) |
|
Found another basket. |

The Easter Bunny knew Brynn's Grandma works at Adams School. Connections! |
|
No stone left unturned. She thought for sure the Easter Bunny left some eggs along the driveway somewhere. Alas, he had not. |
|
Mouthful of candy. ;-) |

Much like Christmas was for Brynn, Easter was hard work! |
In other news, this photo chronicles of a right of passage in many girls' lives. I know I did it when I was a kid. Brynn tried to cut herself some bangs. :-) She has been really into hairstyles and playing with her hair lately. I never thought to tell her not to take it upon herself to cut her own hair. All things considered, it could have turned out much worse.
