Christmas 2014

This year we were at Dana's side for Christmas. We had a wonderful holiday and it was extra special since it was Clara's first Christmas.

so excited to get the Elsa dress from Grandpa and Grandma

art supplies!

Clara got two baby dolls!

And a rocking horse.

Brynn carefully selecting cookies for Santa.

Dad photobombing

Wake up, little Suzie. Christmas morning. She likes to sleep on her side.

She is a morning person once she gets up. She is an all-day person actually. She is always happy and smiling.

Dad got a back scratcher from Santa.

Bath tablets that color the water. Super fun.
Santa brought Brynn a big sister ornament. I love her reaction.

It looks as though she has lost her excitement here, but she said she really loved the ornament.

Clara with her Santa gifts.

Grandpa had to head back to work at the power plant Christmas Day, so we went and visited him at work and went bowling afterward.

Lazy bums. Just kidding. Clara snuggled in with us this morning after her first morning feeding.

I love this picture. My girls.

We're home!

Dana, Clara and I are home and Brynn is still with Grandpa and Grandma in Fergus. We will have Christmas with Papa Kevin's side on Sunday, so we'll pick Brynn back up at that time.

Merry Christmas, everyone!

Aww so many great pics. Love the one of the two of them smiling together. And Clara all lined up with her presents but she's the greatest gift this year! They both looked so pretty in their dresses. Miss you all.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
