Reagan's Birthday Party & Christmas Program #3

We were westbound on Saturday to Hurdsfield to celebrate cousin Reagan's 8th birthday! We were glad to have made the trip for the party. So hard to believe she is 8 years old already! And soon we will have a 7-year-old at our house. Yikes!

Here is Brynn's and my selfie from the back seat. Our last couple of road trips I've camped out in the back seat with the girls, mostly in case Clara gets hungry en route. It was a different perspective for me back there, I found, though. Brynn usually watches her DVD player, and did most of the time I was back there for this trip. However, she was so excited to have me back there with them...she could chat me up, we sang together and she rested with her head in my lap for a bit. I guess I should crawl back there more often.

Funnies of late....

In the church parking lot this past Sunday.."why don't we celebrate Kwanzaa?"
"...but God loves us no matter what and I am sure you do, too." (about me to her - I think she was in trouble for something at the time.)
"I wonder how God puts us together..."

Tonight was Brynn's Hopekids ASP Christmas Program. On Sunday Brynn wasn't feel very well, and today she didn't seem to be herself again. She still did a great job singing, though. Grandpa and Grandma Froemming were able to come and watch her, so she was glad to have them here.  It was so dark up front where they were and Brynn kind of got behind that other girl there, so it was difficult to get very good pictures.

Next up: Christmas piano recital on Saturday!

Sweet! Hope Brynnie feels better. Little Clara's skin is SO soft. I just love to hear her coo and laugh! Miss you all.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
