My Friend's Wedding

Friday Night Lego Party! Brynn had gotten to know these two sisters, Olivia and Justice, at the HopeKids day camp during this summer. Turned out they are originally from Fergus (as is their mom) and just moved to Sabin. Since most of their old friends are still in Fergus, they had their joint birthday party there this past Saturday at a pottery shop. Coincidentally it worked out perfectly, as my friend was getting married near Fergus on Saturday and they were also attending the wedding as the mom worked with my friend (Tammy) in Fergus. Whew! I feel like that was a really complex story! Anyway, Brynn had fun at the party on Saturday afternoon. I hawked this pic the mom had taken off of Facebook. Once Brynn was back from the party, we started getting ready for the wedding. Of course this is the bride of whose bachelorette party I had attended a few weeks ago. She is one of my old college roommates from Fergus and we actually share the same birthday! Grandma was curling ...

Outside

We've been spending as much time as possible outside when it's been so nice out lately. Mostly we've gone to the park, but there was a cricket sighting in the driveway last weekend that really sparked some interest.

Rheault Farm Fall Festival

This past weekend we made it to our favorite fall event, Rheault Farm Fall Festival. This time Tessa and the kids (minus Reagan who was with Grandpa and Grandma Dietz) came up the night before to stay and come with us the next day. It was a beautiful day there and they had so much fun. (Some photos are courtesy of Tessa.) So sunny, as usual.  I think our group single-handedly depleted the prize buckets. :-/ Brynn had her own idea of what she wanted for her face painting. Clara opted out of face painting, but waited patiently for big sister. Last top was the animals! They had a silly goat. And big bunnies...my favorite! Grandpa and Grandma Dietz were on their way to the lake that day and stopped to have supper with us. And read books. :-)

Clara's Two-Year Photos

While it was still warm enough outside, we headed out to Glen Orchard park on the edge of town to take Clara's two-year pictures. The mosquitoes were horrendous and I was unfamiliar with how to navigate the large park, so I don't even know if we were in the best area of it for pictures. I wasn't overly happy with how they turned out, so I might try to take more once all the mosquitoes have died. :-)  These photos also remind me that Clara had her two-year check-up on September 7th and I forgot to post the update from her visit. She is healthy at 23 lbs which is in the 7th percentile. Her height has her in the 10th percentile compared to other kids her age.  A general Clara update at this age would include: Learning more words every day and speaking in sentences. Working on identifying colors and letters. She still loves mothering babies and also playing hair/doing people's hair, swinging, copying Brynnie, music and books.  Working on potty training. She ...
