Wow, do I feel behind on blogging! So much has been happening over the past couple of weeks. Here is my attempt at getting up to speed on everything.
Some fun pics of Clara at daycare:
Speaking of daycare, Clara fell down there at the end of the day last week. She must have fallen on her arm just right (or wrong?) because she dislocated her elbow. :( She has dislocated her shoulder before, so it just reminded us how easily this seems to happen for her. The children's walk-in clinic wanted to do x-rays, just in case of a break, but their machine was down at that office, so we had to run over to a different clinic and then back again. Clara isn't typically a fan of going to the doctor in general, so I figured she would freak out when she had to do the x-rays, but of course the x-ray techs were awesome and Clara did great. Thankfully no break and the children's walk-in clinic doctor was able to pop it right back into place and it was as if it had never happened.
The clinic closed as we were finishing up and meanwhile Daddy had to run to church and pick up Brynn from her last night of vacation bible school. So here we were waiting for them to come back and get us.
Picture that one of the pastors took of the confetti bomb on the last night of VBS. Brynn had an awesome time again this year - the theme this time was Godcraft.
Brynn and Clara headed to Dead Lake on Friday with Grandpa and Grandma to start the weekend.
Dana and I came Saturday morning. Brynn loves to collect army worms. Gross.
On Saturday we attended Dana's cousin's high school graduation party in Alexandria. It was so nice to see family and was a great party.
Clara and cousin Reese playing Legos together.
When we got back to the lake in the evening we still had time for a pontoon ride and s'mores.
After some rainy weather overnight, we were without power in the morning which we took as our cue to go out for breakfast. Brynn had a very large and delicious caramel roll.
Silly Clara.
More fun from this past week at daycare...
And the biggest news of the past couple of weeks and most of the reason that I got so behind on blogging...our house is for sale! We have been casually looking at houses over the past couple of months and found one we like down further south off of University Ave. So, on Thursday up went our house on the market. Brynn helped Carlita (our realtor and my cousin's wife) put the sign up. It was very bittersweet seeing the sign go up since this is the only house the girls have ever known and we have made so many memories over the past 12 years. I keep reminding myself, though, that thankfully we take those memories with us. So, the purchase of the house we are looking to buy is contingent upon us selling our house, so we'll see how it all pans out. We've had a couple people come look at it and had 7 couples come through the open house we had today. We'll keep everyone posted through the blog, of course.
One of the teachers at daycare french braided Clara's hair this past week. So cute. Her hair is so fine it's hard to keep it in pony tails and the like.
Brynn had her friend Vanessa over to play on Thursday night.
They were busy filling our driveway with pretty chalk art.
Sorry, more daycare pics! I just love when they post photos in the Brightwheel app. This is Clara's bestest friend at daycare, Cade. He always has a toy ready for her to play with when she comes in the morning. On our way into the church each day Clara asks me "is Cade here yet?"
Apparently they were holding swimming lessons class in this one. haha.
And speaking of swimming, Brynn took this nice pic of her fish, David, to 'introduce' him to Reagan's new fish, Bob. :-)
Brynn was busy making heart crayons with this silicone mold we had bought some time back. They turned out really cool.
Last night we had movie night and Daddy tried his hand at making stovetop popcorn. It turned out really good!

Yes - lots of memories in that house. I'm feeling like Brynn: mixed emotions. Very exciting though. I'll bet Tara and you guys are happy for pet fish - when you were in grade school - you had horses!
