Officially

Clara is officially a preschooler full-time now. We must call her that a lot, along with 'big girl,' because she now calls herself a 'big girler.' Haha. She is doing well in preschool. I don't think she has taken a nap yet since she's been in that room, but word on the street is there are about six older kids moving on to Kindergarten next week and they don't really nap anymore, thus they're pretty noisy during the younger ones' nap time. Maybe after they go off to school she'll sleep.

The other official news is that our house is SOLD! We can move into the new place September 15th. Thankfully we're able to get into the detached garage of the new place beginning September 1st which will help a ton. We're really excited.

Horsing around with the girls.

Poor Daddy...

Brynn coloring pictures for Clara with Clara's new crayons she got for her birthday.

Speaking of the new house, Friday night we rode our bikes down there as the previous owners, who are now already moved out, had planted a garden and said we were welcome to go pick what was ready before we move in. So, we went to check on it and see if there was anything ready. There are a lot of green beans which are Clara's fav, some tomatoes, strawberries and potatoes. It looked like just some of the beans were ready, so we grabbed those. It was a beautiful night out.

On Saturday cousin Elise came for her overnight stay. The girls had fun playing together and get along very well, though Brynn kept whining at me that there was 'nothing to do.' But about as soon as she would say that, they'd start up with something that kept them busy for quite a while.

They were having fun messing around with the body paints that Clara received for her birthday. The whole fam was painted up.

Brynn is officially done with her first session back at gymnastics. Tonight was her last night and she is enrolled for the next session which starts up on the 29th when Clara will also be joing in! We'll see how that goes. ;-)

"Big girler" haha. Love the fishtail braid. You are a big girler and big preschooler, Clara! So excited for the big move! Lots going on. I didn't know Clara was starting gymnastics, how fun! Can't wait to see her in a little "leotart" as Elise used to call them. Thanks again for having her over :)

I want some body paint. I think Less does too. I just love Clara's pretty hair and Brynn gets so dark in the summer. Oh and a garden. How neat. Are you going to have one in the years to come too? Have fun in school girls. Can't wait to hear about your first day.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
