You may recall in one of my previous posts I had posted a pic of Brynn working on her Sally Ride biography project. All the fifth graders put a lot of work into their projects which would be featured as a living wax museum. Brynn had to create a poster highlighting points from her essay and essentially embody Sally Ride!
I was so disappointed to have missed it as family was able to come and experience the living wax museum, but it was when I was gone to California. :-( Brynn was pretty disappointed that I wasn't able to attend, but thankfully Grandmas Laurie and Holly and Grandpa Kevin were able to attend, along with Daddy.
I think it turned out so great. I was fascinated learning more about Sally Ride right along with Brynn as she was researching her facts. What an inspiration to young girls.
So, how it worked was the visitor was to press the button which would activate the 'statue' to provide a bit of an explanation. Brynn excitedly told me they had over 100 visitors to their museum that day.
Great job, Sally! I mean, Brynnie! ;-)
