School's out!

I think this was a couple of weekends ago the girls made some brownies...apparently just for Dana and me. ;-) Truth be told, I'm pretty sure I did end up eating most of them. Last Friday I surprised Brynn during lunch at school. She was very surprised... and not in a good way at first as she seemed to think that I must there to deliver bad news or something like that. Once she realized I just wanted to sit with her while she had lunch, she was excited. We sat together with her friend, Addie. Speaking of friends...last weekend the girls were at Dead Lake so Dana and I went out with Dana's co-worker and his wife. Not only did Kaily suggest Olive Garden for dinner, they then invited us over to their house in which we made a deal that we'd all be in our sweats. We proceeded to play ping pong, visit, listen to 90s rap and snuggle their huge cat until late that night. Good times! Proof of Dana petting a cat! McLovin' is the kitty's name; he's

Spring

Now that the weather has finally gotten nicer, we thought it was time we make our summer bucket list. I feel like there isn't anything too exciting this year as many of the activities we would typically do in the normal course of a summer anyhow...like eating outside, jet skiing and smoking some meat, but it still all sounds like fun! Brynn was in choir this year and this past Monday was their spring concert. We took a couple of pics outside the school afterward. She is planning on participating in choir again in middle school. This video was a mashup of the kids singing in church on Mother's Day (actually just Brynn; Clara declined to sing) and Brynn's choir concert. I just love that first song they since at the concert. She did a great job! (She's in the back toward the left in the church portion and first row, middle/right at the choir concert.)  The wolves are coming out now with the warmer weather! Oh wait, I recognize this one i

Teacher Appreciation & Mother's Day

A couple of weeks ago for Teacher Appreciation week we took gifts to the girls' teachers. Brynn gave her teacher a Harry Potter water bottle as she is a fellow Potter Head. I didn't get a picture of her with it, though. Clara did a candy bouquet again which works out nicely because she has several different teachers.  She was just ecstatic to give it to her teachers. Last week I was treated to two Muffins with Moms with the first at Brynn's school and with what was the last for Brynn since I suppose they don't do it in middle school. Bummer! A couple days later I had round two at Clara's school. She wanted us to be matching that day too. :-) She made lots of sweet crafts for me. She really put me on blast knowing my real age. ;-) They must have done this right before my birthday. There, I just outed myself now. Ha.    On Saturday we went to Grandpa and Grandma Dietz's lake place to "help" with thei
