Spring Break

Dana took a little spring break trip of his own last week with his uncles and cousins to Yellowstone to go snowmobiling. He had a great time and sounds like they had really nice weather.

The girls had all of this past week off of school for their spring break, but ended up having last Thursday and Friday off as well so school staff could get vaccinated for COVID. They went to Grandpa and Grandma Froemmings' for most of that time, coming home for a break in between.

This is a little out of order, but last Sunday I pulled Clara in the bike trailer down to Lions Conservancy Park just off of University. It was a bit farther down than I had remembered, but the wind carried me back at least.

She's getting too big for the trailer, but it's still nice to be able to use it with her as it would have been too far for her to ride her own bike. And snacks, of course. :-)

I also got my make-up done.

I had to pick up a St. Patrick's Day cookie decorating kit from Jen's Bakery....which included dinosaurs. We couldn't figure out what they had to do with St. Patrick's Day. Ha!

I got a different type of Ninja blender that is also a food processor and smoothie maker. I absolutely love it; it's so fun to use. The first thing I made in it (but didn't take any pics of) was a Dole Whip that tasted just like the kind you get at Disney World.

And then I put some crackers, bread crumbs and milled flax in the food processor to make a coating for my chicken tenders and that worked really well also.

I don't know if the girls had too much togetherness during their first stint at Grandpa and Grandma's or what because they came home in quite a fighting fit. By the time they were getting ready to head back for another stay at Grandpa and Grandma's, they were singing Disney movie tunes to each other to guess which movie they were from while they were waiting to get picked up. 😌

Dana got a work bonus so we went out to our new favorite Mexican restaurant to celebrate.

Fresh guac! Mmmm. Everything is so delicious there.

Brynn did lots of four-wheeling this past week. Totally Dana's daughter here. :-)

I had taken yesterday off to spend with Clara after she came back home ahead of Brynn so Brynn could have some time by herself at Grandpa and Grandma's. She challenged me to a game of Scrabble...or Scramble as she kept calling it.

It was such a gorgeous day out that she was able to spend most of the afternoon (after we got back from doing some furniture shopping).

Look out now! Daddy taught her how to drive this four-wheeler and she loves to tear around the yard on it. She often forgets to put it in neutral or turn it off  (or sometimes she's not even completely stopped) before she gets off of it. But, otherwise she does really well with it.

Oh, hello, Rainbow Dash! Grandma found this for her at the second hand store and she's barely taken it off in 48 hours. It is so cute on her though.

Oh my gosh, look at that muddy four wheeler! How fun. We'll have to all go four wheeling down to the Roundhouse some time when you guys are here!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
