Clara finally lost her first tooth that was stubbornly hanging on and annoying her to no end. She lost it at school and was able to hang onto hit to set it out for the tooth fairy that night.
Last week was Davies HS homecoming and the middle school also took part in their own dress-up days. Brynn decided to dress up this day which was country vs country club. She attended the homecoming game on Friday night with a friend, so that was fun for her.
Grandma Holly surprised Clara for her first of two games last Saturday. Their first game was at noon and Grandpa and Grandma Dietz made it to the second game at 3:00. There weren't a lot of kids who made it to both games so Clara was able to get a lot of play time in.
Wearing down...haha.
Clara's really been into tennis lately. I'm not a good instructor at all, unfortunately for Clara. I was never very serious about it myself, but just like to play casually. The courts were open at Kennedy School field where she plays soccer. Somehow after two soccer games in one day she still had enough energy to play tennis afterward.
Spooky season is upon us! Last year I had wanted to check out the haunted farm - Dana has fixed chainsaws and such for the guy who runs it - but I couldn't get anyone to go with me. This year my parents said they would accompany me. Mom ended up staying behind to hang out with the girls, so it was just Dad and me. We had a frightfully delightful time. Thanks for going with me, Dad!
On Sunday we had planned a day trip to go four-wheeling in Nevis. Dana's parents met up with us and we had a fun time of riding around a couple of the state parks around there and stopping at The Stompin' Grounds for a snack.
We had a tailgate lunch...and some shenanigans.. before heading out.
We stopped for dinner in Park Rapids on our way home.
The girls had Monday off of school, so Brynn baby-sat Clara for the day...and was Clara's only customer at her foot spa.
I worked from home so I could make my latest blog recipe: banana bread.
