October

Dana received his award for the patent he was issued. Very cool!

The Fix It Forward Ministry Tuesday night crew. 💙

Brynn was excited to get her nose pierced a couple of weeks ago. She loves it! It did hurt to get it done, and she almost passed out afterward, but it's been good to go ever since then.

I can't stop laughing at this little Viking.

The weather certainly turned chilly this past week and Clara had to dig out her ear muffs.

Speaking of cat ears, we got some good snuggles in with the neighbor cat, Lucky, the other night.

Clara gave a stellar astronomy presentation on Friday night.

Clara's last soccer game of the fall season was on Saturday. It was a great game, well played by both teams, that ended with ALL players out on the field! The weather really shaped up nicely for a late afternoon game.

I love this pic of her, though she looks so old.

The Griffins

More astronomy - the moon was so bright and low last night, Clara got out her telescope to get a good look as it was rising in the sky.

Unfortunately Brynn was under the weather all weekend, so she didn't have the best time of things. :-( We thought she had turned the corner Saturday night, but was still feeling pretty tough all day today.

Adria was able to come over to play this afternoon.

Oh my gosh, congrats to Dana on his patent - how cool! That is awesome. I've been following along the Fix It Forward Instagram and love seeing all the work they do! Aw, sweet neighbor kitty. Clara does look so grown-up in the soccer photos! She looks like she's really enjoying herself out on the field. Elise was disappointed we didn't make it to one of her games this fall. If you have some video footage, she said to send it her way so she can see Clara in action. I noticed the moon last night, too, when we were out having a fire. Fun with Adria! Look at those cute ghost mugs.

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
