Pre-Christmas
Double sister friends. :-)
Rae came over to play last weekend and the girls had a spa going. hehe.
Clara sang in church last Sunday.
They did such a great job. I couldn't hold it together...again, surprise to no one.
Brynn made one my favorite Christmas cookies: raspberry ribbon.
She was looking to make some extra cash and shoveled off the deck. Dana said she looked like how all of North Dakota has felt this past week or so.
Clara and I attempted spritz and they turned out pretty well!
She also made a Christmas countdown chain.
Still so much snow and cold! Trying to make the most of it.
Someone sent these amazing chocolates to my work this week. We really enjoyed them. They were so cool and had a bunch of unique flavors.
Visiting Earl while Clara does her piano lesson.
Christmas dance exercise class this week.
Picking Clara up from school on a particularly nasty day. Ugh.
Scientist Brynn!
One of the staff at Brynn's school was randomly handing out DQ gift cards one day this past week and Brynn was a lucky recipient of one. So nice! Clara had a couple saved up as well, so we picked up Dairy Queen for dinner last night.
We've been getting ready for Christmas today, the girls' first official day of holiday break. They each baked and decorated a birthday cake for Jesus and helped clean house. We'll enjoy the cake tonight when we do our own little family Christmas before Dana's family comes tomorrow to celebrate with us.
Merry Christmas! We'll miss you at Weckerly's. Love all the baking the girls do. I should hire them...I make the same stuff all the time. Love you

Aw, I love the pictures from Clara singing in church. She looked very pretty! Haha, poor Brynn; enough with the snow already! Earl is so fluffy and cute. I love your MSUM Christmas sweatshirt!! That was so nice about the DQ gift cards. Merry Christmas!
A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.) They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...
We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family. We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan! Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
