Happy birthday to our Brynnie! Brynn turned 15 on the 9th. That night we celebrated with a spaghetti dinner (her choice) at home, followed by gifts. Brooklyn took her out for Scoop-N-Dough, so we didn't eat the German chocolate cake that Brynn had made for herself. Brynn wanted to celebrate her birthday at Kohl's again, so last weekend we headed up there with Brooklyn in tow. We got Brooklyn sucked into Nerts.  Our cabin this time around - we were top right. Red Stu for brunch, naturally. After brunch, Dad and Clara hung out at Christel and John's while I took Brynn and Brooklyn to do an escape room...and they did escape in time. Very exciting. We definitely had some helpful hints, though. After that Brynn had found some shops that she wanted to check out. This hat was a must-have for me. The beginning of a new year

I feel really behind in blogging, so here is a whole recap of the first half of January, the start to a new year. This girl does love to read! 💓 I am not typically one who loves winter, but I have been trying to appreciate the beauty of the frosty trees and big snowflakes falling.  Neighbor Barb invited Clara over for a  visit one recent afternoon....a visit and Clara's fav snacks, I should say. :-) Scientist Brynn! A couple of weeks ago we were able to watch Reagan at one of her wrestling tournaments in Casselton. It was so fun! Of course Brynn and Clara had fun hanging with Elise and the Casselton Cousins.
