May Fun

Clara's class took a trip to Bonanzaville. It sounded like they had a good time and were able to check out more than what we've seen when we've been there just on our own.

The winery is open for the season just south of us so Dana and I made a stop there the other night  before we went to a movie downtown.

Ahh, the classics! Wayne's World was playing as part of the Classic Film Series at the Fargo Theater and I could not pass that up. It was so fun.

Mom, Dad, Clara and I saw the Beach Boys at Shooting Star Casino. They played all the hits.

As you can imagine, there are only a couple original band members still going.

A little Plaza Azteca outing with Brynn.

After that Dana and I were back at the Fargo Theater for a new release movie I had wanted to see. It was pretty good.

Freida, Ms.Ainsley's (Clara's piano teacher) kitty.

It was that time of year again to surprise Clara for lunch. She said this time she did have it figured out. For some reason neither one of us could stop laughing.

Last Friday night we went to the Asian Night Market at the Fargo Air Museum. It was even more fun than last year with more food offerings and vendors.

I purchased these cute magnet from a little girl who had made them and was selling them.

Oh my goodness, lots of fun! I just love, love the video of you picking Clara up for lunch. Brynn looks so beautiful in that photo from Plaza. What fun at the air museum!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Easter + April Birthdays

The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...
