Sleepover & Muffins for Moms

Last Friday night Brynn had her friend Lilly over for a sleepover. They had a fun time together and wanted to do it all over again the next day.

I got flowers for being on the drama team for Sunday School at church and Brynn was so excited.

Thank you for all the cards, phone calls and birthday wishes from everyone on my birthday! Dana was out of town for the weekend at a bachelor party, so we did our family celebration on Thursday night. Brynn and I scrapped Saturday afternoon. She really got into it and scrapped a lot of pages.

Today was the day Brynn has been waiting for since Daddy got to come have lunch with her at school. Muffins for Moms was this morning. It was for all the grades at the same time, so it was pretty busy around there.

Dana moved positions at work and is now a Vehicle Architect Engineer (still in the wheel loader division). So, we went out to eat tonight to celebrate. Brynn ordered dessert and when it arrived we were worried it might eat her rather than the other way around. Good thing they brought out some extra spoons so we could help her out. It was very tasty!

I remember you having sleepovers when you were little Tara! Hard to believe Brynnie is growing up so fast.
Wish they had a 'granola with Grandma day ' or some such thing!Congrats to Dana on the promotion!!!!

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. We had never been before, but it was on our "Moorhead List" of fun things to do in the 56560 zip code. So, check! Out on side-by-side rides any chance we get. We parked on Sunset Road, as we've dubbed it, to watch the sun go down. There is usually one or two other cars parked on this low maintenance road whenever we venture down there. Clara into her granny hobbies. :-) We attended the last of this year's graduation parties over the weekend. I went to one in town on Friday night and then Clara and I stopped at Karlie's party near Fergus Falls on our way to Z...

Fourth of July 2025

We were able to spend the Fourth at Tamarac again this year, with my sister and her family.  We arrived just in time for Brynn to change into her tennis outfit for the boat parade float. Their theme was sports this year. Clara and Oliver caught candy from the dock. This was the first Fourth of July holiday spent at my sister and Chad's own cabin on the same lake that Chad's parents have their cabin. Clara brought my mom one of her favs, Tootsie Roll. We were also celebrating Mom's freedom this holiday...from working on the Fourth! For the past how many years, Mom has had to work the Fourth of July parade back home in Carrington. However, this year as she is preparing to retire and training in her replacement, she gave the parade reins to her successor. It was great to have both Mom and Dad spend the Fourth with all of us together. It was just like old times when we all gathered at Terry and Wanda's for lunch though. I made a new recipe for dessert: red, white and blue c...

Reagan Graduation + MDW + Tennis

This past weekend our oldest niece, Reagan, graduated high school. She will be attending UND for nursing in the fall. We're so proud of you and love you so much, Reagan!   Cousin Cayden had his Italian soda bar set up at the party which was super fun and a big hit. She opened a few gifts the night before her commencement. Reagan is the third generation to graduate from Harvey High as my mom and her dad, Chad also attended there. This was such a fun gift idea that Tessa put together from her and Chad. We got back home Sunday evening and between the four of us doing different things, spent most of Memorial Day outside. It was such beautiful weather. Brynn and I played tennis and Dana and Clara replaced some shrubs and did yardwork. The tennis season has wrapped up for Brynn now. She's sad to not be playing anymore, but still gets some court time between playing with friends and sometimes Clara and/or me. We're so proud of her and glad she played again this year. I had taken s...
