Wells County Fair

Brynn loves to watch many different kinds of YouTube videos, and the other day she got caught up on some cupcake decorating videos. So, naturally we had to then make cupcakes and test out what she learned. She wanted to know how many different tips I had for decorating. I got out all my stuff and I held the piping bag shut while she decorated them how she wanted. I should have took some pics of the final products because they did turn out fairly well, however below is what the kitchen looked like when we were done and she had to get to bed, so needless to say I had some cleaning up to do and I was already pooped myself.

This past weekend Brynn and I headed west to Fessenden for the Wells County Fair. It's always fun to come back and see everyone from my hometown. Brynn loves the rides, of course, and looking at the exhibits in the women's building and 4-H building. It was beastly hot on Saturday, though.

These two were ride buddies for quite a few of  the fair attractions. There little heads barely sticking up over the spaceship cracks me up.


Typical. Ben is his happy, friendly self while Brynn has to check out herself in the mirror. Ha.

Brynn wanted to make sure she made it back to the old school house. She got such a kick out of it last year.

While the rest of our group went on down the fairway, Brynn had to stop back and harass this lady with more questions.

She loved seeing the horses. This one actually reminded me of one of the horses we had on the farm growing up.



Princess pianist practicing her piano last night. She started out on just the black keys and this week is learning the white ones now. 

My bestest and oldest friend is also expecting and is just one week ahead of me with her due date! We have been friends forever and I think her husband is convinced we're always in cahoots about something whenever we're together. So, the fact that we're pregnant now at the exact same time and both having girls, he thinks this is all a big conspiracy with us two. Ha. Amanda came over last night to visit and we made Dana take some pics of us together so we could remember being pregnant at the same time. Then the rest of the time we sat in the house and complained to each other about the ailments of pregnancy. :-)

More Graduations + Start of Summer

A couple of weekends ago Clara had a very busy, but fun Saturday with her friend Cora and her sister, Violet. The sisters' dad took them to the Breakfast on the Farm near Hawley (We had gone many years ago. Clara was so little, she didn't remember it.)   They also stopped at the dirt track races on their way back into town and then Dana met up with them at MSUM so they could go to the oceanarium there. Easter + April Birthdays

 The girls had Thursday, Friday and Monday off from school for the Easter break. So, Dana and I took most of the same time off (work) to match.  Always reading. 💜 Hanging out with Brynn. 💗 Dana and I went on a Costco date. We tried our hand at homemade ravioli again. I think it went a bit more smoothly compared to last time. Hubert's sister Abby stopped by for a visit. We hadn't seen her in a long time and so it was fun to have her We celebrated Dana's birthday and kicked it off with some Sandy's donuts. I don't recall what was so funny. haha. Clara's card. Birthday King Clara dyed eggs. I baked a birthday cake for Dana, messed it up getting it out of the pans, and Clara somehow cobbled it together into a masterpiece. Dana chose Lucky 13's for dinner out. On Saturday we packed up to hit up Oliver's birthday party before we went on to Dead Lake for Easter. Oliver is 9! January + Valentine's Day + CATS!

We ARE still alive over here and have not frozen to death. Here's what we've been up to for the past month and a half! Brynn and Hubert at the OG (Olive Garden): 'Lady and the Tramp' style. haha. Taking in a Force game...with extra fighting. It was very exciting. One Sunday when Clara was at a sleepover, the three of us went to Black Coffee Waffle Bar after church and then for some crepes and boba at Tea & Crepe. Then Brynn and I went prom dress shopping which was really fun. She did find a dress she loves so that was a relief. This is not the one she chose, but she tried on quite a few nice ones. Clara made crowns for the king and I (me). Clara had to write an essay to be considered for the robotics team at school. She waited for at least a couple of weeks to learn if she was accepted, and unfortunately was not. She was pretty disappointed, but she does have a chance to reapply next year when she's a fifth grader, and won't have to write another essay. I th...
